Barton signs for QPR

The club's desperate to get rid and Barton's desperate to go. I expect everyone will be happy except the manager and the fans. And possibly Barton. A free transfer of our player of the season to a PL who might possibly rival us for a relegation place is bonkers though. Totally bonkers. I doubt he'll be replaced either.

I give up I really do,

you can dress anything but making out that Barton is shit and wont be missed is lunacy.

Player of the season and instrumental in the two games so far. Lets see how well Jean Claude Floot de Ponce-Ponce does at Blackburn on a freezing January night.

Team Positive are really starting to struggle, relatively speaking of course. I'm quite sure CT and Deano have been struggling for most of their lives. Struggling big time now though.

Your so right  A draw with Arsenal and a win over the mackems in their back yard has really got me in the dumps.

A win tomorrow in the cup, our best defensive start in over a hundred years possibly on Sunday........I might just begin to frown.

Are you even loosely acquainted with the bigger picture, you massive cretin?

Rather kept him than lost him, particularly for free, but a lot of melodramatics creeping in tonight.

This time last year, most on here didnt really rate Barton which tbf, is understandable given his previous three years at the club. I did rate him and earmarked last August as being the player of the season.

This is truly a masterstroke.

The same person who openly claims to not know whether a formation has been changed, that blindly believes what the 'media' says is apparently a savant when it comes to judging the talent of players, regardless of the fact that everyone knew that the player had the talent but was yet to show it here on a consistent basis. The same savant who blew the trumpet of Lua Lua after probably seeing less than a game of him actually playing just because there was an accompanying fluff piece talking up his talents. Did the same in relation to Ferguson filling in at left back.

Thanks for the laugh.

First post on here, so hi all

Im gutted that Joeys leavin us, only on the playing side mind because off the pitch i think hes a grade A wanker! Thanx to twitter, its bad to get that intimate with players of ur club, who u idolise only to find out they are knobs. But anyway, joeys a very good player who well miss, tho i dont think well miss him as much as some people think as we are pretty much jam packed with midfielders.

I cant help but feel that this whole twitter escapade over the summer by joey has been a set up by himself and Willy McKay, as he only set up the account after contract negotiations broke down with the club. since then i feel hes used the fans hatred of F.C.B to gain support so the club would have to give in to his demands, and when that failed he has shown his true colours and lowered himself by signing for QP FUCKIN R!

He has a contract till next summer, if he really wanted to stay here he could, then at the end of the season he could negotiate a contract with whoever he wants with a nice signing on fee!

I just dont get joeys decision to join QPR, shit ground, shit fans, awfull manager, a real nonentity of a football club, so for me its not football reasons he is joining them, its all about the money, and thats sad!

Good first post Weldy, spot on post so it is, welcome to the board.

Spot on really. Me mate had the audacity to say we have 16 midfielders on the books and we'll be alright, "Marveaux is a more than adequate replacement", "yes seen him play???", "well no...." Oh dear.

I cant wait to hear Pardews thoughts. It's obvious he wanted him to stay after playing him in the opening 2 games. How is he going to deflect questions on what say he has at Newcastle United? He's basically a manager at your work who leaves the recruitment with HR and gets sent any old shite that the company see fit.

Given, Milner, Carroll, Nolan, Jose, Barton havn't all left for money. It clearly runs far deeper and anyone stating it's all money related are way off the mark.

The blame lays clean at Ashley and Llambias' door.

Horrendous for the fans, again.

Lose tonight and we'll hear the 'club in crisis' brigade back on song. We've been in a constant state of crisis since Hughton was ejected from the position. Impossible to communicate with the club and regardless how much we, the players or the manager try; we'll never have any say in the future of our club.

I think several posters noted this at the time but the Carroll sale had deeper ramifications than suspected. It is most likely the straw that broke the camels back for the players especially after the money wasn't reinvested as promised.

I think the players(like the fans) agreed it was only a bad deal if the £35m wasn't reinvested in new players. The club have made it quite clear that won't be the case.

There should be no surprise that Barton is leaving. The club have done their utmost to offload him. Despite him being(without question, imo) our most innfluential player.

The silence from the Ashley apologists has been deafening. And I'm talking about the more articulate among them, not deano, who has continued spouting his usual brand of inane drivel.

Come on toonpack, chez - let's be avin you.
