Jimmy McGovern - the new Shakespeare?

I think Jimmy McGovern is the modern Shakespeare. He writes very strong dramas, like the film 'Priest' and the drama series 'Cracker'.

Below you'll find one of my favourite scenes, written by Jimmy McGovern.

The main character has gambled away a lot of money, and doesn't know how to explain it to his wife. He decides to get his nose broken, so that he can tell her he was mugged.

This is how he does it (go to 6.30 to 7.40)

Is this not one of the greatest pieces of dialogue ever written...?

I might unblock Nick, as he seems to be raising a laugh. Not in the same way as CT, Deano, Gloomy etc, but a laugh all the same.

 You have him blocked and you still popped in to tell him to fuck off?

Blocking makes little difference. You still see him and his topics in the forums.

By the by, someone should try and figure out the beach in Nick's avatar pic because I'm sure there are alot of bodies buried out there.

he is now unblocked, but remains the first and only person I've ever blocked.

Fuck knows how some people have survived like
