dbsweeney 0
One day ... maybe sometime in the distant future ... Shola will no longer play for Newcastle United. The 'Mackem Killer' will be silent. And that will be a strange day that will bring very mixed feelings. Yes, the man hardly moves on the pitch ... but he's kind of become a family heirloom. The ugly vase that sits on the fireplace and, through time, is both loved and hated. So much so, that no-one can bring themselves to throw it away. = Edited July 5, 2011 by dbsweeney

Guest alex
So basically we all think he's crap then but there's a touch of "awww come on look the poor wee souls trying...sort of" Basically Tbh, I blame the people in charge for keep giving him contracts. It's difficult to believe how long he's been at the club. KK is the only one who seems to have seen through him. Apparently he's awesome in training though Allardyce thought he was shit as well tbf He rated Cacapa though so I'm not sure that counts.

Giraffidae 0
At the end of the day I've been going to games since I was 7 years of age. 1985. I walk out the ground listening to arseholes talking wank like "Shola's the shitest striker av ever fokkin seen like the lazy cunt", when I could name 20-25 worse strikers I've seen for the toon than him. He's demonised. Just because we've had some bad strikers it doesn't mean ameobi isn't also shite. Apart from the extremely rare snatch of skill which mugs think make a canny player, he is fucking useless. He's slow, can't head a ball to save his life, doesn't have a shot in either foot, fouls continually and clearly hasn't grasped the offside rule. Other than that..... agreed, anyone who thinks Shola is a good player and isn’t lazy is “talking wank” — demonised, hahaha. The thought of him in the number 9 shirt is beyond belief, if he is given it it’s one statement that shows how far we’ve fallen. takes a good penalty though. StevenL 0
Why are people missing out mid-table? It's the hardest part to predict. Do you really expect kudos for prediction the top 6 and the bottom 6?
Barney 0
Probably because it's so close and theres so little to play for over the last couple of weeks. We were 1goal in the WBA match away from finishing 4places higher. Had we not given Alan Smith a run out for the craic, it might have made the difference. Howmanheyman 33834
Shola can be a great finisher when he chooses to take the early shot, his goals against Forest and Sheff Wed spring to mind. Definitely been worse than him and right now, I'd say he's the best striker we've got. (And yes, thats no real achievement right now).
Barney 0
Ba looks an absolutely top drawer finisher from the small amount I've seen of him.

Trouble is, it's individual goals which stick out so much due to the lack of striking prowess over the last ten years.

ewerk 31195
Ba's good but he gets crocked which lets face it he will, theres no way he'll play every league game, he's not going provide enough to make up for not having someone more capable beside him. If Ba is our #1 striker we're simply not good enough for 7th or 8th. Mr. Optimistic!
