South Tyneside/Wearside - fucking hell man Stevie :o

South Shields General - further north than Newcastle city centre, SJP and just about everywhere else in Newcastle itself.

Look man. Parts of South Tyneside are 1 mile from the Stadium of Shite, what did you want me to put it as, Newcastle/South Tyneside? Also the likes of Midds/NJS/Ketsbaia etc.. were born in Sunderland, so putting South Tyneside beside it sort of hides any embarrassment. I couldn't just put "Sunderland".

School Stevie, not lived or born.

I was born in Durham but soon after had to be rushed for an operation in Newcastle's freeman hospital. Unfortunate this didn't go to the hospital via the centre circle.

Hong Kong. My Dad was in the forces and was posted there in the seventies for a couple of years when it was our colony. I didn't move back here till I was nearly two.

Born in Huddersfield, me mam was in service there.

Brought to Gateshead by me grandmother when I was one day old as me mam had contacted TB and I couldn't be with her.

Never went back to Huddersfield, mam died in Whinney House, Gateshead when I was eight.

Sunderland's county (Durham).

Agree whole heartedly.

Really? It's a big place & Newcastle have always had a massive following from Durham Pre Keegan, pre Joe Harvey, pre most things. (particularly north)

I rate Sunderland as secondary to Durham itself to be honest, Sunderland is a shit hole & there's nothing to do there & even mackems will admit that, what do they have a greggs? Most people from Durham wouldn't dream of going to Sunderland and those who do go for football.

Sunderland's county my arse.

I'm sure a certain Sir Bobby Robson would've agreed with me on that one.
