If they're actual asylum seekers, they're participating in a legal process which is set up for that very purpose. That's not to say they're all ultimately granted asylum, but how can you have a process which pre-judges the outcome correctly every time? I'm sure the country is doing just fine, we don't have an immigration problem, our social services aren't at all over-stretched, these cuts imposed by the govt are a figment of the imagination, and all immigrants [illegal or not] are coming to the UK to earn a living, learn English and contribute to the economy etc, just like you said.
