Singapore U15 defeats Newcastle United FC in the opening game of the 23rd Canon Lion City Cup.Jalan Besar Stadium, Singapore U15 kicked off the 23rd Canon Lion City Cup with a thrilling come back win. Trailing 2-1 at half time, the host team fell further behind with a break away goal against the run of play (3-1). However, with barely 4-mins of regular time and 5-mins of injury time, the Cubs produced a sterling display to score 3-unanswered goals to beat Newcastle United FC team (3-4) which looked to be victims of fatigue.
