Harper on his way out too according to Caulkin, not even in the squad tomorrow

He didn't say that anywhere tbh.

I was trying to not be that assertive in my reply.

Whats to say that the origional source in spain isnt just as reputable as our Daily Mail?

Dont think he is going anywhere. Plus he is worth about 10mil in my books.

Very true, and according to reports by Lee Ryder in the EC today Pardew has insisted there would be no more departures this summer.

I doubt he said it if there's not a '100%' tagged on at the end.

As if Parsnip knows what's happening anyway.

Well he kinda did. Harper not in the squad and keeper movement before the close of the window. Doesn't take a genius to work out what he's getting at

After Colo, Harper and Barton go that only leaves Smith who's on decent money doesn't it?

+ Tiote and Ben Arfa.

both signed in the last year, doubt they're on big money compared to the likes of Colo and JB

Tiote got a much improved contract before the end of last season though. £50k per week-ish supposedly.

Does he get paid every 8 or 9 days like?

from nufc.com:

Juan in - one out?

News that Valencia have reached agreement with Chelsea over a big money move to Stamford Bridge for Juan Mata and will receive a £15m down-payment may not have registered on Tyneside - but could become significant.

The Spanish club have continually been credited with interest in Magpies captain Fabricio Coloccini, who played for a quartet of Spanish sides between 2001 and 2008, when he swapped Deportivo la Coruna for United.

However, Valencia's current top central defensive target now appears to be Spanish-born Victor Ruiz Torre of Napoli. Tuesday's Gazzetta Dello Sport newspaper claim that an offer has been for made the 22 year-old who moved from Espanyol less than a year ago.

One of United's biggest earners and under contract until 2013, Coloccini turns 30 in January. And despite our solid start to the season, a lack of investment in the SJP squad (and the departure of Jose Enrique) could make him open to a move, if not to Valencia then elsewhere.

Only an idiot would sell Coloccini.
