Ben Arfa lacks the vision of marveaux?

lol wise up

I do believe he lacks the team-vision for setting up others in the way Marv does... or are you gonna prove me otherwise, my smelly irish friend?

I didn't say that he lacked vision either, he has good vision for creating excellent individual performances, but maybe just not as focused on using it for team purposes and setting up others.

I agree with you but it's not as black and white as those saying rubbish. It's just more of an instinct thing IMO.

HBA knows what he can do, particularly dribbling and that will usually be his first instinct. Marveaux first instinct is to advance the attack by passing.

Be lovely to have both firing in the same team. Having someone up with attack who also has a very quick brain would make HBA even better.

Do either of you realise that Ben Arfa provided an impressive number of chances for Benzema when they played together at Lyon?

Don't know much about his Lyon career tbh, I was like too young even for that :P I'm probably not the only one on this forum who doesn't know much about how he did in Lyon though.... however what he does in this club, here and now is what counts for me :P

Yeah, but you're suggesting that he lacks vision. This is demonstrably untrue.

Ben Arfa is better than Marveaux in every conceivable aspect of footballing ability. That's not slighting Marv, it's just a fact.

you bombastic cunt, thats bullshit.

There are some mental aspects of attacking team-play where I have a reason to believe Marv might be having certain advantages over Ben Arfa, regarding the central playmaker role. If we had a situation where we could only choose one of the two, something we don't have since they favor different positions, I'd still choose Ben-Arfa any day though since it would mean a bigger certainty of scoring.

If it is "demonstrably untrue" go on then.

Marveaux has a heart the size of a pea, and that will always prevent him from being a long term success.

So you're saying he got a heart problem? I don't get what you're point is...

To be fair to Aeris and Christmas Tree (god I feel dirty now)I think they have a point in that Marveaux is more likely to look for a pass to play someone in than Ben Arfa. When Ben Arfa is looking to assist, he tends to do it by beating players and getting into the box and more simply laying it off when he's created the space by taking the opposition out. Marveaux (while also capable of beating a man but to a lesser extent) is more likely to look for the type of pass that he did yesterday.

Anyone in their right mind would take HBA over Marveaux like because he's simply on a different level overall and I think part of this is because of Marveaux's small heart. I don't think he's quite as bad as BW makes out (that's more Obertan) but you wouldn't want him with you in the trenches!

That just the same as saying Marveaux doesnt have the same ability to beat players and therefore will look for a pass more often, Doesnt mean his passing vision is better because in a black and white shirt, it clearly isnt.
