Aye, that was done this morning, hadn't seen that! Shit, really could've used him against Blackburn tonight :(

Obviously the club think he's of more value in the home game against Wolves than tonight's at Blackburn.

I think the way it works is you are charged (ie assumed guilty) you can then accept ir or appeal. He got charged on Monday, appealed today and lost.

Ah right. Makes sense.

What a load of old bollocks, the FA have been, are and always will be the biggest bunch of cockwipes to do with the beautiful game in this country. It's a good thing Van Persie and Crouch didn't mean their obviously accidental incidents at the weekend I guess. Fucking jokers. :glare:

Read somewhere yesterday that El Abd had contacted the club saying he'd support Cabaye in his appeal, seems a bit odd that the FA will give someone a 3 match ban when the supposed victim of the incident is helping the appeal.

This stinks. The FA really need to be a lot more transparent about the whole process of these retrospective charges because from where I'm sitting its all about which Manager/Journalist/TV wanker shouts the loudest about each individual who may or may not have crossed the line. Can't remember much fuss about Rooney hoofing Colo whilst our Argentinian was on the deck (apart from ourselves of course, and even then it was very muted). Contrast that with the media furore of camel face getting done for the pen when (in slow motion), it looked like a good tackle by the Gangsta.

Anyone who think the media are innocent and play no part are naive. Tony fucking Gubba single handedly went out of his way to get Tino done a few years ago despite Keith Curle being an utter cunt all game.

Exactly. To be worthy of the plaudits he's been getting, I'd want him to play at a consistently high level throughout the season.

He hasn't been doing that. It's not all his fault, tactically things might not be helping but he's not as instrumental as he was at one point and he goes missing quite often.

Overrated by CT.

He's not Rob Lee. Let's not write him off though.

Missing the point (as usual) tbf. He was initially very good and somehow has turned into a shite player for us, yet still a good player for france.

Its called form. Most people tend not to get carried away when its great or piss their pants when it's not.

His form was great last week for France, but has been pretty shit for us for quite a while.

The manager's long-ball tactics perhaps?

Doesnt stop Tiote looking good.

Tiote's job is to nulify the opposition, which is why he looks good as we encourage a defensive minded game under Pardew.

is the correct answer. He's no Rob Lee though.

The better question is why are we comparing new signings to genuinely great players for us that built their reputation over a long period of time?

Personally I think he's a good all rounder that formed an excellent partnership with Tiote before the African Nations cup, not a £20 million man but probably worth just over half that and a player I wouldn't lose too much sleep if we sold.

I haven't seen tonights game but I do wonder if a few are starting to burn out.

Because he was a great looking player pre season and at the start of the season but now looks a shadow of that early form. (Yet still shines for France).
