It's Yohan Cabaye

Basically you're under more scrutiny in a live televised game at the end of the day because the pundits have got to have something to discuss, particularly if the match is dreary as fuck. That doesn't account for the lack of consistency in application between clubs (that much is just due to bias and is wrong), but certainly if it's a televised game you can assume its more likely there'll be comeback than if it's not.

The rule about not being able to review incidents the referee thinks he's soon properly needs doing away with. Simple as that.

Agreed. Same respect as the rule about not being able to rescind yellow cards. What a complete joke,

There's nowt wrong with having a nasty streak but you have to be careful with all the scrutiny nowadays.

This a fair copy which I don't mind as long as the next Rooney elbow gets the same.

thats just it though, change rooney to van persie and it hasn't done

Nor did it with Cabaye at Liverpool as already pointed out.

absolutely

but its that lack of consistency that pisses people off

Does it really?

Would you have been equally vociferous if Van Persie had been charged and Cabaye had been let off?

well no, B&W tinted specs and all that, but I could have no complaints could I?

I wasn't all that pleased with the differing treatments of Kompanys challenge to several others or the FA appealing Rooneys england ban

Point I'm making is it's subjective. We're not pissed off because of the inconsistencies, we're pissed off because our player received a charge and Arsenal's didn't. Their fans couldn't give two shits that Cabaye is charged - in fact they're probably happy as the preverbial given our respective league positions.

Fact is, Cabaye has been on borrowed time for a while and sooner or later an FA charge was imminent. He had a streak about him but if he didn't, he wouldn't be the player he is. One of those we have to take on the chin.

And were you really arsed about the Kompany situation or does it just suit the argument? Not having a go Andrew, it's just an observation. Moral high ground goes into overdrive but the bottom line is that if Kompany had been our player, we'd be livid he was sent off. If he'd been playing against us, we'd have been livid if he hadn't. Football fans are that flckle...

Course they are but yes I was bothered about the Kompany challenge and it does suit the argument because you have Johnson on Lescott unpunished

Cabaye on Spearing unpunished, Spearing on Dembele punished

you've got Balotelli charged, Cabaye Charged, Van Persie let off, Rooney actually appealed for by the FA because they don't want to lose him for the Euros

I mention the quality of refereeing almost every week on here but it does continue up the chain to the FA, theres no consistency in either body it all just depends on whatever they feel like doing on any given day which isn't how the game should be run

Cunts. Fucking Ray Stubbs wants to keep his bindipping mouth shut in future.

tbf I doubt very much that the FA charged him solely on the back of what Stubbs said.

Need to put this one behind us now - at least it didn't get increased.
