Dafydd 0
Reds eye Toon duo Liverpool are reportedly planning another raid on St James Park following their January capture of Andy Carroll by moving for Jose Enrique and Jonas Gutierrez. CaughtOffside.com reckon the Reds have already had a bid for Enrique rejected but will come back in with a higher offer and could look to take Gutierrez as well having been impressed with the partnership the two have formed down the Geordies' left flank Read More http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/liverpool-f.../#ixzz1NTN8OXcH

Tom 14013
I suppose they have to lower their expectations somewhat after Man United got that 19th title. We'll probably have 19 by the time Liverpool win another one.
ChezGiven 0
Maybe Liverpool are aiming for 12th next year.
Dafydd 0
I suppose they have to lower their expectations somewhat after Man United got that 19th title. We'll probably have 19 by the time Liverpool win another one. What a load of bollocks Barcelona's Lionel Messi: Newcastle Winger Jonas Gutierrez Is One Of The Best Players In The Premier League Barcelona superstar Lionel Messi believes that Newcastle United winger Jonas Gutierrez is just as good as any player in the Premier League. Gutierrez played with Messi at the World Cup this summer, helping Argentina get to the quarter-finals in South Africa. Former Argentina manager Diego Maradona claimed that he put Gutierrez’s name on his team sheet first along with Messi and Liverpool midfielder Javier Mascherano. Messi considers the 27-year-old to be on the same level as Premier League stars Wayne Rooney, Fernando Torres and Cesc Fabregas. “The Premier League have not seen it yet but Jonas is one of the best players in the league, Messi told the Daily Star. “I know you guys have Rooney, Fabregas, Torres and many more stars – but Jonas is as good as any of them. “I am backing him to show it this season. Maradona calls him one of the three most important players in the Argentina squad and I think he is right – that is how good he is. “It takes time for a player to adjust to a new country and he has now been there long enough to show his true form. “By the end of the season I would expect the very best teams in Europe to be trying to sign him. “But he told me during the World Cup that, as long as Newcastle stay in the top-flight, he would like to finish his career there.” Newcastle signed Gutierrez from Real Mallorca for £5 million two summers ago, and the Argentine has played in 68 games for the club since arriving. Messi believes that his country-man can lead Newcastle to a spot in Europe this season and take Player of the Year honours in the Premier League. “I would expect the Spider-Man mask to be out quite a few times this season but his real talent comes in creating goals. “He is a fantastic winger, can beat players with ease and is a fantastic crosser of the ball. “If Newcastle have one or two good target men, I think they can have a really good season because Jonas will create a lot of chances for the strikers. “He can fire Newcastle to a top-six finish and win the player of the season award above names like Rooney.” Full story: http://www.goal.com/en/news/12/spain/2010/...as-gutierrez-is Edited May 26, 2011 by Dafydd
