Guest alex
Think their defence gives them a decent chance. Still fancy Barca to win it like.
manc-mag 1
Nailed on to win. Absolutely horrible, horrible football club. Can't speak ill enough of them.
LeazesMag 0
I've fancied them to get to the Final all the way through, I hoped they would have played Real, but they have every chance. His line up will be crucial, obviously. I think they have to stop Alves and whoever is left back getting forward, particularly Alves, track them and play the players in midfield who will keep the ball best, I wonder if they will man mark Messi, as Rio Ferdinand and Vidic don't really have a player that plays through the middle like they are used to, so I wonder what he will do with them. But Alex Ferguson knows what he's doing Edited May 24, 2011 by LeazesMag
Barney 0
Possibly have Park on the left to pin Alves back(like his ears). I'd expect Fletcher to start.

I've met some people who think Park was bought to sell shirts.....thats a laugh, he's a good little player, I liked him when he played against us for PSV, he will run all day and can produce some good moments too. Giggs, if he plays, is the player [in midfield as he's been playing lately]to keep the ball as well and probe with it, if his head is OK with the events of this week. The front 2 is obvious. They can do it alright.
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
It doesn't matter who they play in midfield, they'll be dominated, possession-wise, in that area.
McFaul 35
Been offered a ticket - Face value £125 some package and it's £300. Fuck that. I'm not paying £300. I obviously hope Man Utd win, Barcelona are too cocky, and I think it could be an all time classic with Man Utd winning 3-1.
Tom 14011
I'm also going for a Man United win. I don't think Man U will let Barcelona play how they want and they will press in a similar fashion, I don't think Ferguson will get it wrong again. Tom 14011
By the way it looks like the Barcelona team wont be flying so alternative travel might knack them a bit!
Guest alex
By the way it looks like the Barcelona team wont be flying so alternative travel might knack them a bit! Ferry from Northern Spain to the south coast wouldn't effect them too much. That'd be the sensible option, rather than driving all the way from Spain to Calais or whatever. They could helicopter them? The ash is only up at 20000 feet.

Guest alex
'Affect' even. D'oh! Think they'll have it all planned anyway as they were already talking about alternatives a couple of days ago. Don't think it'll be too big a factor.

Ayatollah Hermione 13766
Think they're probably better set up to do them than they were last time even without Ronaldo. Like Leazes said, Park will be invaluable in terms of pressuring and Rooney and Hernandez are in shit hot form. Can't see it being a classic though. LeazesMag 0
It doesn't matter who they play in midfield, they'll be dominated, possession-wise, in that area. maybe. It's the inferior stance, for want of a better expression, but try and keep the ball, stick with the full backs especially Alves, hold their shape and press them and they can do it. Rooney and Hernandez are well capable of winning the game with a moment of class. Barcelona are far from unbeatable, teams in the past like Ajax in the 70's, won 3 European Cups, and Liverpool in their prime, but nobody is unbeatable. This is still a class ManU team, not as good as when they had Ronaldo and Tevez, but they have adjusted their game and are a tighter side now, especially at the back. They also have the best goalkeeper of the two teams.

I don't particularly like the majority of ManU supporters but you've got to be honest about the club, and it might be old hat but I want them to win because they are English, I'd want any English team to win.
