Howay 12496
That was someones real theory? I thought you were just taking the piss Aye it's mentioned somewhere in one of the books that his real name is Walder but I assume they've changed it to avoid the confusion with Walder Frey. Same as they did changing Asha's name to Yara to avoid similarities to with Arya. Oh aye I get you now. Aye sadly it was actually two peoples theory, one bloke was even researching Celtic myths and comparing them to Lyanna riding in on a white horse to try and link why Hodor would warg into a horse . He seemed to be basing his theory off the bloke playing the speaking Wyllis on the show having a scar on his head (which would mean he could speak properly after he was kicked in the head by a horse) I don't remember seeing a scar on the blokes head mind and don't care enough to check. Happy Face 29
I've watched it all a couple of times at least and read all the books at least once each. But I never had much problem keeping who was who clear in my head. Found it much less difficult than Lord Of The Rings where all the names sounded the same and most of them looked the same. I suppose it's down to how much I've loved it right from the start. I have a good memory for things I'm interested in. That's why I'm a shit accountant. I'm not that into it. Think it's canny, but as others have said, without reading any of the books or watching them more than once each I only take in the major characters names and plot points. I'll gladly geek out over a show I love though, so it's not a criticism. I enjoyed reading up on all the colour scheme stuff from Breaking Bad, the range of dream interpretations for The Sopranos or going back to watch/read The Corner and Homicide after The Wire. Jesus christ. There's loads of theories I've read up on and the people who have put them out there are really serious and do a lot of research into them. I couldn't be arsed with that but most of them are quite well thought out and pretty sensible. But that is absolutely ridiculous and someone who has far too much time on their hands. Aye I watched the first episode of Breaking Bad the other week when I couldn't sleep and remembered you were into all of the colour stuff. I much prefer GOT. There's only really this and Twin Peaks I've ever looked at in any sort of detail. Breaking Bad, The Sopranos and The Wire are definitely some of my favourite shows though. The Fish 10963
Well, that latest episode... nothing really happened did it? Spoilered in case you've not seen it yet. Jon executed his killers and quit, but nowt else Arya continued her training and became Daredevil for a bit, but now else Rickon showed up, but did nowt else Bran gets closer to confirming the widely accepted R+L=J theory, but didn't actually do it Sam is still on his way to White Harbour, but did nowt else Tyrion found out the conspiracy is big, but did nowt else. Christmas Tree 4821
While a bit complex, I've quite enjoyed seasons upto now, but this one seems to be trying to cram too much into every episode. But less flitting about and a bit more depth of story if you please.

But less flitting about and a bit more depth of story if you please. Fucking hell, I agree with CT. They can get away with ten different plot lines if nowt much happens like in this episode but when something important does occur they should limit it to two or three threads so they can do it properly. Howay 12496
Aye I think that's the difficulty they've had the whole time but I agree it's only really started to feel like they're getting bogged down now, each story line is proceeding at a snails pace because it's getting 5 minutes or so per episode. Hopefully they manage it a bit better going forward but with this many characters it's really hard, it was fine in prior seasons since they all were in groups but now they're all so spread out. David Kelly 1260
I have a feeling they've slowed things down in some sort of attempt to not get too far ahead of the books. So far in this season there's very little happened (Jon's resurection, Ramsey killing Roose) that's really moved beyond where the books are up to. The audiences won't hang around if it tails off like Lost/Heroes did.The books at least have an endgame mapped out. I think they plan on getting to roughly the same place in the show just with a few changes with the supporting cast along the way. The problem with Heroes and (as I understand it since I never watched it) Lost was that they never really seemed to have a plan where it was going from the start. Dr Gloom 22147
I have to say I've found this season the most underwhelming to date. It is moving along at a snails pace. The odd bit of gratuitous violence helps but we seems to have had a drastic drop off in the nipple count
