StoneColdStephenIreland 74
This weekend we'll see 2 teams getting relegated adding to West Hams already certain relegation, and of the teams that look like they could go down there seems to be quite a few decent players banding about who would become available for cheaper prices and in some cases improve our squad and there's quite a few who i wouldnt mind to see play for us. The players i think who we should at least look at signing are (depending really if they go down) Ba Fletcher Jarvis Larsson Samba Hoilett There are some other players but, either i dont think we need them or i wouldnt see them getting in the First Team or sign someone better are Foster, Johnson, Dann, Gardner, Green, Upson, Diame, McCarthy, N'Zogbia, Rodallega, P Robinson, Santa Cruz, Olsson, Doyle, Adam Just wondering whether you's think we should maybe try a few bids for some of the better players and if they'd help us push on or not? OTF 7243
Larsson, while he doesn't excite would have made a healthy contribution to us this season if we had picked him up in January. Given he will cost less in the summer there's no reason why we shouldn't look at bringing him in (that's if irreparable damage wasn't done during contract negotiations in Jan). There will be some other handy players doing down that could be available that we should look at, but I'd like to think we already have our eyes on our primary targets so the relegation fodder will be fallback options. Those four would get into our 1st imo I wouldn't have Larsson either fwiw I only put Larsson in there because he's a free transfer at the end of the season, so he would be a good addition for nowt, i wouldnt take him though if we had to pay for him like While i think Adam is a damn good player, i wouldnt have him in ahead of Nolan or Tiote so i wouldn't see where he'd fit in, they bring so much to our team that i dont think we need a player who would get into alot of first teams in the top half of the table, on our bench, i just don't see who he'd replace N'Zogbia too i think is a quality player but as proven in his last stint here doesnt have the attitude that would help us and would merely want to fuck off whenever a whisper comes around that a 'bigger club' is interested, if he didnt have the attitude he has i'd have him straight back here Rodallega for me is to hitty-missy he sometimes looks as though he's got something and other times he looks twatful, we'd be best off looking somewhere else And I think Johnson is the better CB out of him and Dann, so i'd prefer to have him here than Dann, but if it did come down to it, there are better options elsewhere if we do indeed go looking for a CB
OTF 7243
And I think Johnson is the better CB out of him and Dann, so i'd prefer to have him here than Dann, but if it did come down to it, there are better options elsewhere if we do indeed go looking for a CB CB would be relatively low down on my list of priorities. Steven Taylor was once oretty decent and will hopefully come back to form with a full pre-season behind him. Wasn't bad on the weekend and always is a chance of scoring from corners. Williamson is definitely a serviceable replacement for an injury to Colo or Taylor (much more likely to be Taylor based on previous records). Options are pretty short thereafter, with Kadar having shown promise he'd be next down the pecking order but seems to be plagued by injuries. Simpson had a good first half to the season but seemed to deteriorate towards the end so an alternate right back could be a consideration. First position to strengthen is of course up front where we really need two new players (will only get 1). Thereafter I'd be looking at bringing in a new wide player preferably someone who can play down either side.
sammynb 3343
Samba Fletcher Rodallega Santa Cruz Adam Larsson In that order wouldn't be a bad way to spend the conservative funds (transfer & wages) that will be available, also depending who goes. Santa Cruz is finished, injuries or whatever but he's been beyond shite since he went on loan to Blackburn. Samba would probably go to Lyon or maybe Arsenal so he's out of the picture. Blackburn probably wont go down anyway. Edited May 19, 2011 by TicTacWoe

And we'd all have Samba, as discussed numerous times but you're again you're right, he'll end up somewhere with a bit more ambition and CL football. toonotl 2948
Samba is the pick of the bunch. But he would be pricey. Also looking forward to N'Zogbia's 'stepping stone' and 'Aresanl are interested' announcements. Although credit where its due, he has improved in the last few years. Especially playing centrally. JoCo85 0
The hammer would be nice, but don't see him leaving as he's hardly played for them I wouldn't complain about Phil Jones, Stephen N'Zonzi, Jermaine Jones and Kevin Doyle.
Holden McGroin 6471
I've heard Liverpool, Man U and Spurs are sniffing around Adam. He'd definitely get in our team. I wouldnt take Santa Cruz. I dont think he has scored all season. N'Zogbia is a class act in my opinion. A mega-knob but a quality player.

Phil 6
Javis is the pick of the bunch, but I wouldn't bother with any of them as they'll all be over priced. Samba would also be a good addition, but I'd rather test Fulhams reserve for Hangeland.

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Totally slipped my mind abound Hitzelsperger and Noble, but if anything if we do go for a CM i'd rather us go for someone who can play the defensive role and can come in when Tiote is suspended/injured, i think Diame from Wigan wouldnt be a bad shout for that role, still only young, looks an alright prospect and would only cost a couple to a few million if Wigan went down But our main priority this window is getting at least 2 strikers in and a winger, if we got Fletcher, Ba and one of Jarvis, Hoilett and Nzogbia i'd be well happy
