Phil 6
Anyone else surprised to see where we are. http://www.premierleague.com/page/FairPlayTable Mr Tiote.
JonGoodwyn 1
Nearly posted this the other day. It's not just our cards that are dragging us down, but our respect towards refs and opponents is the lowest of any team. I guess Barton/Nolan/Tiote/Jonas moaning about near enough every decision drags that down quite a lot, even though there isn't usually a lot of malice in it. Ayatollah Hermione 14087
I wouldn't say we're a dirty team though; a lot of those have been for silly fouls. Danny Simpson is quite bad for it.

Not that I give a shit about this anyway, beyond the suspensions etc. And I actually think Nolan does a good job of reminding the ref of persistent fouling of players by the opposition. Something a captain should do but not something I noticed others doing for us in the past very often.

I guess you lose points for most things, no matter how trivial, so a few nothing fouls or wags of the finger will lose you more points than if 5-6 players crowd round the ref yelling. Should be based purely on cards imo. If the ref deems the moaning etc. to be bad enough he can always book a player for dissent. Otherwise it's just too subjective. As are the other indicators in the table. Our 'positive play' rating is a joke in comparison to some of the others on there, for example.
Happy Face 29
So on reds and yellows we are the second cleanest team in the league after Man City? How the fuck can you come bottomof the fair play league if that's the case. Daft.

Its a joke that you can get into Europe via it, really.

I couldn't work the table out like but didn't want to appear stupid As I read it you get points for negative things, i.e. red and yellow cards, but you also get points for positive things, like 'positive play' so I couldn't really tell how they worked out the top and bottom on a points basis. I think you start with 10 points, then lose 1/3 or each yellow/red - so a high score is better, and we're actually the second worst.

Think I've got it...you start a game with 10 points and lose them for every yellow and red. So our low score is a bad thing. Worse systyem than AV that though. I'm sure it made sense to whoever at the FA came up with it.

I thought you used to just go into the hat and one (or a few) teams were picked out of all the winners of the fair play league across all the Uefa countries. ewerk 31236
It's based on the Fair Play of each country's clubs in Europe. Just been announced today that England came second. http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/13409159.stm
snakehips 0
Load of fucking shite. Respect? My arse. We're a soft target for the assessors, simple as that. At least we're not letting folk walk all over us. Propar hard us, like. As I said, a load of bollocks imo.
sammynb 3523
How the hell are Blackpool 5th? After watching Adam called the ref a fucking cunt every decision that went against them, you have to wonder.
