snakehips 0
I've updated one of the pc's here with the latest Firefox 4 (I think it is), but the green bar at the bottom right of the screen has gone!! I likes me little green bar. For that reason I haven't updated this netbook to the new F/f. Now then, clever people, have I missed something? Can I retrieve the green bar on the new version? Is it a thing of the past?
Gemmill 47085
Green bar? The McAfee safe search thing? If so you'll just need to reinstall that extension.

peasepud 59
I have a strange issue with Firefox on one PC. toontastic and only toontastic goes to pot in firefox, its fine on Chrome, IE and Opera, its fine on Firefox on the other machines but on this one PC it doesnt show any images at all. I thought all the obvious things like "are images switched on" etc but like I say all other sites display fine. I thought it would be ok to use without the images but then realised all the buttons were missing so I couldnt post or reply. I updated it to version 4 and it was still the same. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled a fresh copy but still nothing. Got me beat it has.

No, it's the little bar that tells you the page is loading/state of loading thingy. I think I'm with Laz on this as the new version doesn't seem 'right' somehow, so I'll leave this little machine with the old, trusted gizmo. Luddites of the world unite¬¬!! Loads of the images folk post on here end up with the little frog in a square pic saying 'domain not registered' or some other electronic fancy shite. I must have missed loads of snaps of the chicks on here showing their wares
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
Firefox 4.0 was a bit temperamental for me at first, so I flicked between that and Chrome. I prefer Chrome now, and use that the majority of the time.

Toonraider 0
will they open if you hit Ctrl+T? NO, just tried. Also no one has altered the options so cant see why it should suddenly change. Sometimes I hate computers!
Toonraider 0
Try opening it in SafeMode see if it's an addon causing the problem Thank Ant, I will ask my son to do that later as I have no flipping idea what the hell I'm doing!!

Craig 6701
i didnt like firefox 4 so went back to 3.6 same here Laz Same here - almost. I went back to 3.5.2. I'm finding that plugin-container.exe goes fucking nuts and lunches on any available RAM it can find. Lots of articles on the web about it - apparently was introduced with 3.6. I ran 3.6 for about a year before I tried 4.0 and have to say it's running faster than ever now I've down-graded. Classic case of if it ain't broke, don't fix it. Have tried IE9 too and that's even more wank!
