But this time they haven't come out and said anything. I don't think the rumour has been very widely reported ... NUFC probably don't know about it. If a sale ever happens, there won't be any lead up to it, it'll just happen. There was no reportage of the purchases of Man City and Chelsea, they just happened (esp. Man City's). Its impossible to second guess the board's intentions but if we are sold it will be a reaction to an opportunity, rather than a planned sale. On another note, the 35m notes we got in the bank does increase the chances of a takeover bid. Cash rich companies (even carrying debt) are targets for part or fully leveraged purchases, as the cash in the companyt bank account can be used to instantly pay off some or all or a short term loan from the bank when the purchase is completed.
