Christmas Tree 4729
Groupon doing a deal for the Newcastle whisky festival today. £15 instead of £40. Sure I remember reading that you were both fancying this.
Guest alex
Already got the tickets. That's a fantastic deal though, i.e. £15 for 2 people. It's cheap enough anyway tbh.
ChezGiven 0
What time are you two planning on going to there? Starts at 12 right?
Guest alex
Last time there was a queue out the door at 12 so I might just go for 12.15-12.30 so we can walk straight in. But we'll be there for 12 or thereabouts. Edited May 4, 2011 by alex

Aye, looking forward to it and catching up. Tried to buy a ticket online today and there is no option to put a country in outside of the UK. When i put the card details in, it went to a secure site and asked for a code the bank had text me. Didnt get no code. Will have to ring the whisky lounge tomorrow. Tooj 17
Nice one. It's far too easy to spend a fortune there mind.
ChezGiven 0
If Gordon & Macphail bring their 70 year old Glenlivet with them you can spunk 13k on that. Probs not for sale though.
Guest alex
Dalmore are one of the exhibitors I think and one of their Whiskies went for £100k at auction.
ChezGiven 0
That'll be those gullible Sunday Times readers again.
Guest alex
I'll be surprised if they're giving samples away like. I was reading about it and it's 62 y.o. because if you put an age statement on whisky etc. then the age on it is the age of the youngest thing in it and this was a vatting that contained several much older whiskies too. I suppose you're drinking/collecting a bit of history as much as anything else.
