Not sure. Never seen bairns in either. Worth ringing but I reckon the Bacchus probably lets them in through the day at least as they do scran in there.

None of those are particularly kid friendly imo.

Imagine taking your kids in the Crown Posada.

Fuck Off  I dont know the pub!

So far today Ive decided that just me and our lass were going to the Neptune, then it was La Tasca with the seven year old and now Im thinking Black Horse with or without the seven year old.

Its heading for a takeaway

Kid dumped. Ended going to Crown Posada ( great little olde pub. Even had Glen Miller playing in the background).

Then Bacchus (great pub)

And finally La Tosca ( garlic bread starter followed by eight Tapas -- 40)

Food was delicious.

Doing my walk today. Drive up to Alwinton (not far from Rothbury). Walk from there up to the border (Scotland) fence and up Windy Gyle and back down to Alwinton. It's about 12 mile all in and with stops should take about 6hrs. Be well chuffed if weather is like yesterday though typically cooler with a bit more wins higher up.

It does, I'm up at the caravan for the weekend with the kids (wife and dog less). Was a cracking drive up. Sunny and cloudless. Prob heading to Alnwick gardens tomorrow.

Was up at Gibside the other day. What a fantastic place.

Apparently the largest adventure playground in Tyne and Wear, Brass bands playing on the lawns, sheep being sheared, cows being milked and some very stunning walks.

Very impressed.

Do you ever go further afield and head up to the coastal part of Northumberland Christmas Tree?

One day I'd love to own a caravan up there, it's so beautiful.

I can't stand that part.

Used to go up to Holy Island as a kid and have taken my brood there and sea houses, Bamburgh etc.

Just miles of endless dull sand dunes IMO. Much rather be in Forrest type country side, Parkland etc.

Just not my thing.

Now if they Scarboroughrise it I'll be there in a flash.
