Doesn't look right - wasn't Hughton in charge for some PL games in season 2008/9?
loonyTOON 10
Why not compare once Pardew has had a proper transfer window and has his team out there?
Deano 0
Id of prefered Jol or Bosas but we ended up with AP. I didnt agree with it at the time but i do think he will do a job and we can regain some stability and gradual progression under him. He's done ok. Next season is when we should be judging him. The only thing I can see in his favour is his half time team chat against the Arse. The rest of the season is full of shit team choices, not forgetting the transfer window bollocks (Kuqi for Carrol? Top quality replacement from the resident rapist) The players have kept us up, along with the utter shite that inhabits the bottom 6 places of the PL. Mind you Ashley likes him so I can only presume he swallows.

Any injuries and James Perch and Ryan Taylor coming in? haway man they aint his signing

Hughton probably wouldn’t have made promises he couldn’t keep but comparisons are pointless as there’s been no notable shift in formation, tactics or personnel since Pardew arrived. There have been one or two occasions where Hughton might have looked to tighten things up whereas Pardew didn’t, but there’s no way of knowing if the end result would have been different. Right now Pardew for Hughton is probably the most pointless change of manager ever.

Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
There's no point talking of, 'Oh, if Hughton had stayed on...' The man would never have stayed on, as he had a shred of self-respect and wouldn't put up with being made a mug of by the current owners.
Rob W 0
agreed - which is why we miss him so much - the words "integrity" and "newcastle united" can rarely be used in the same sentence since SBR left
toonotl 3124
Not much of a difference at the moment. Pardew will lose the dressing room at some point though. He seems like a wanker. Then we will be back to square one.
