ChezGiven 0
I doubt we'll see much benefit from it, from a business perspective. Accountants, only seeing the airfares.... Its basically one massive advertising campaign.
Barney 0
The US tour is not just about the football, its about tapping into an affluent growing market. Thats why the two Manchester clubs are there this summer and thats why we are there. Correct decision from a business perspective. Did you hear that Orlando put down the 'real' turf on top of the astro at a cost of £100k and had to rip it up? I(genuinely) wonder who paid for that. My guess would be Orlando, as they are the ones getting a high profile club to attract a crowd into their stadium.
Barney 0
Nearly 11k attendance. Fair play to them for going to the effort of trying to get it laid-especially as Bolton were happy enough with it 1 week prior.

Barney 0
Tiote to miss Leeds Utd clash amid visa woe NEWCASTLE United have been dealt another pre-season blow after Cheick Tiote was forced to pull out of preparations for the friendly with Leeds United this Sunday. The Chronicle understands that the battling midfielder has a red-tape problem surrounding his visa and must reorganise his pre-season schedule. The Magpies squad are due to meet up again tomorrow following their long-haul trip home from the United States. However, Tiote was not on board the flight that set off from Columbus to JFK airport in New York. Instead he headed for Ghana, with the Ivory Coast Embassy based in Accra, to try to resolve the issue with his visa.
