The 53-year-old, of St Mary’s Road, Garston, was arrested in connection with the death of Bahman Faraji yesterday and charged last night. He was due to appear before Liverpool Magistrates court this morning. Regan, who played Terry Sullivan in the Liverpool soap, was also charged with perverting the course of justice. Detectives have also charged 42- year-old Lee George Dodson, of Logfield Drive, Garston, with murder. Iranian-born Mr Faraji, pictured left, was blasted in the head at close range outside the Belgrave Pub, on Bryanston Road, Aigburth, on February 24. He died at the scene. Mr Faraji, a dad-of-one who lived in Toxteth, moved to Liverpool around 15 years ago. Known to friends at Batman, he was said to have had links with the city’s underworld and worked on doors at bars and nightclubs for several years. Regan and a 48-year-old woman were arrested and questioned in the early stages of the police investigation. Last week, Edward Heffey, 40, of Beloe Street, Dingle, was remanded in custody after appearing before a judge at Liverpool Crown Court charged with the murder of Mr Faraji. He is due to appear for a preliminary hearing on April 18.
