Geordie Boyo 24
I'm having one of those days. The battery in my watch is fecked and now my CD drive is fecked...! I have a driving lesson tomorrow where I'm being pushed to take my theory, but I can't use the CD drive to use my theory cd because the fecker wont start up...! Would it be easy to simply fix by having a go my self, or am I fecked? Edited December 12, 2005 by Geordie Boyo

peasepud 59
have you tried uninstalling and reinstalling the drive? switch off the PC. open it up and unplug the lead from the back of the drive. switch on and let it boot up then switch off again and replug in the cable when you switch on again it should find the new hardware and reinstall it. You could also try updating the drivers via Control Panel >System>Hardware>Device Manager and then right click and Update Driver.

Geordie Boyo 24
Didn't work, mate. Recently it made the same start up sound it did before it knacked up. I've got a bad feeling its something to do with the actual power box thingy....how technical do I sound...! Looks like I'm gonna have to take it somewhere to get fixed, tbh.
