It's not routinely done but I have heard of adrenaline being injected directly into the heart in the event of cardiac arrest.

 

Seen that on a few US TV shows (though they call it "Epi")

Yeah, in the US adrenaline is called epinephrine.

TBH the sight of that needle would have had me up and dancing like John Travolta, never mind what was in it...............

Yeah, in the US adrenaline is called epinephrine.

 

Always wondered in the US if the have 'epinephrine rushes'.....
