I am selling lots of stuff, having a clearout, LP's, Computer things [games etc], DVD's, books, some football programmes, other things - all sorts of stuff, etc [as earlier thread about a week ago]....a couple of old PC games need to be configured to work in MS-DOS mode. I know you can download things like DOSBox but how well do they work ? One particular old game won't read the disk in the drive ? I want to make sure whatever I get rid of is able to be used reasonably easily by others, thats all. Otherwise I'll throw it in the skip or give it to the charity shop. Ive used doesbox and found it has worked with most old games, its fairly straight forward to use, simply open it, and mount the folder in which the game resides, as a drive letter then run the games executable from the doxbox command line. Have a go and if you get stuck give me a shout.
