Who is that in your avatar? I guess it's a band? The thing is, the lad in the front looks the spitting image of someone I knew many moons ago. Who are they?

The Pixies.

The singer is Black Francis aka Frank Black.

Thanks. Then it's not my old mate. Or, for that matter, Ant (from Ant & Dec) on his right shoulder, or Crissy Hind to his left.

Joey Santiago with Dave Lovering at the back and Kim Deal - used to have the best tits and smile in music - unfortunately gravity has not been kind on the former.

Seen them in 2009 when they did that Doolittle anniversary tour (was the first date of the tour), Deal looked healthier at least than she had done in a while, seen some pics from her at festivals and the like before that and jesus looked rough.

Fantastic gig with a couple of encores, people were filing out after the 2nd one thinking there was no way they'd come back, came back played where is my mind with the house lights up.

Easily one of the best gigs i've ever been to, maybe slightly biased being my favourite band.

Saw them in London on that tour.

Liked the reunion in 2004 - Brixton gigs were great but really enjoyed V when they were second on the bill to The Strokes and all these turds down the front had no fucking clue who they were until they started and were soon educated by a load of old bastards like me going mental on their heads.

Best ever gig was Mayfair Newcastle in 91 - absolute mayhem.

complained to my ma a load of times about having me too late selfish fcker!

only 28 :/ maybe 7-8 years earlier i'd have been able to see the pixies first time round, guns n roses at slane etc :(

Happy enough i've seen them since mind, my list of bands i'll go anywhere to see is fairly small now i've managed to chalk of the likes of rage and ac/dc, pixies recently

Just need talking heads and the smiths to reform and i'm good to go :jesuswept:

My equivalent of that was Sabbath with Ozzy - I just got into them a couple of years after he left. Saw them with Dio which was great but finally saw them "properly" at an Ozzfest in 2001.

I always thought Kelley was the more attractive of the two of them but fucking hell all those years of smack haven't been kind :jesuswept:
