Bictor 0
I agree, and refer you to my previous answer. Pardew would put up with it. But they appointed Kinnear As you say, Carr has been doing this role "de facto" for two or three years. Yeah, the ideal way to do things would be making the Director of Football the guy that's in charge. He knows how to scout and will make sure we bring in the right players. He's the one in control everything, but gets solid advice/guidance from the Managing Director for the financial side of things. Sponsors, wages, how much we can spend, etc etc. Then you get a coach in that only has to worry about making sure the team that he is given wins. Someone that has good man managing skills and has the tactical awareness to go along with it. Unfortunately in those three roles we have Joe Kinnear, Derek Llambias and Alan Pardew. TOONLONDON 0
Its just so wrong when its June and you are already dreading the new season. Wonder what the players are thinking, must be so reassuring to have all these wonderful proven successful footballing people around. My feelings exactly....Thought Ashley had learned from last Summer and there was behind the scenes work going on with regards the playing staff...then on a quiet unassuming Sunday.... ChezGiven 0
Fans do need to work out how to play Ashley's twisted madness in the right way, agreed. I'm serious. People were told that if they demand that Pardew goes, then nothing in the history of Ashley's decisions points to him making a better appointment. He couldn't award him an 8 year contract to promote stability, then sack him. This is the result. Well done the moaners and should-know-betters. However taking your thinking forward, they would know this would piss the fans off, so - are you suggesting that the fans expressing being pissed off leads to Ashley trying to piss them off more? So the fans should all just pipe down then? Is that it? This leads back to my comment, the fans should now know not to irritate Ashley as he will get them back? Monroe Transfer 0
Surely there are 'Newcastle people' who could do this job? Also; again, the likes of Sunderland and Spurs have the footballing knowledge to look abroad and get the likes of Baldini to be their (Spurs') new DoF. Monroe Transfer 0
"My job is director of football. "I will not be picking the team or the tactics. "I will just ensure we have the best possible team. "If the manager wants my advice on that I am sure he will ask me. "And he says his stint at Newcastle the first time around will hold him in good stead. He said: "When I took over we were third bottom but I took them to 12th. "Then I had the heart attack at West Brom. "We would not have been relegated. "We were million to one not to be relegated. "If I had been in charge we would not have been relegated. "Kinnear indicated his new role will see him look at recruitment and bringing in new talent. He said:"Now I intend to make Newcastle better. "I want to make them far better than they are now. "We want to sign the right players. "There is no other agenda. "If some aren't good enough then we will move them out. "Kinnear also insisted he is the right man for the job .He added:"I've got more knowledge than anyone at the football club. "That is not being disrespectful to anybody there. "Kinnear also said the contract had been signed, sealed and delivered. And says: "It is a done deal. "My job will be to find players and improve the club. Exile 0
Translation: "My job is director of football. My job is to wind up the fans, players and manager "I will not be picking the team or the tactics. I'll be standing in the dressing room, making a whistling noise and saying "I wouldn't play that daft fucker there, Alan" "I will just ensure we have the best possible team I will ensure that as many of the first team as possible hand in transfer requests. Fuck me, did you see how much we could make on Cabaye? "If the manager wants my advice on that I am sure he will ask me. The manager will get my advice, whether he asks for it or not "And he says his stint at Newcastle the first time around will hold him in good stead They already hate me, so there's not going to be any time wasted. I can get right on with crushing peoples hopes and dreams. Then calling them cunts He said: "When I took over we were third bottom but I took them to 12th. Then lost about ten games in a row and had a heart attack when things started going tits up "Then I had the heart attack at West Brom And our form taking a nose dive, and it becoming obvious to the world that I was a clueless nad-sack had absolutely nothing to do with that "We would not have been relegated. We were fucked, and to be honest, the heart attack was the best thing that could have happened to me "We were million to one not to be relegated. It was nailed on that we were going down "If I had been in charge we would not have been relegated. If I'd been in charge, we might actually have dropped down two or three divisions "Kinnear indicated his new role will see him look at recruitment and bringing in new talent Kinnear's new role will involve him cleaning clagnuts out of Mike's arse crack, then watching Loose Women while occasionally yelling out the window to the manager, pointing out all the things he's doing wrong He said:"Now I intend to make Newcastle better. I fully intend to see those Geordie bastards burn in hell "I want to make them far better than they are now I want to see the fuckers implode, because Mike's worked out he can make more money turning the stadium into a car park and casino "We want to sign the right players. We want to sell the right players. Well, all of them, actually "There is no other agenda There is another agenda. The fact that I even bothered to point this out kind of proves it "If some aren't good enough then we will move them out. Along with the ones that are good enough. I hear we might be able to get Sol Campbell back on a free transfer. And what happened to my mate Geremi? "Kinnear also insisted he is the right man for the job .He added:"I've got more knowledge than anyone at the football club As long as you only include Mike, Derek and Alan in the list "That is not being disrespectful to anybody there. But they are a bunch of cunts and they can all fuck themselves "Kinnear also said the contract had been signed, sealed and delivered. Because now it's too late for you to complain about it And says: "It is a done deal. And that one is just to rub it in "My job will be to find players and improve the club My job will be to find people to buy our players, and the club will be much improved when its sponsored by NCP
