Have you edited that with ya billy stamper ! ? Half way through ". . the total mugs" haha

On serious note, understand Japan's playing down - cultural, economic and to avoid panic but readong that found myself primarily annoyed. I'm sure an onlooking and concerned world would think no worse of them to be upfront at he severity / accept or appeal for further help. Goes without saying, I hope its not too late to avert a full on catastrophe but was hearing this yday how they were looking at bringing in police water cannons after abandoning the helicopter dousing. Pissing in the wind . Time to drop the front Japan c'mon !

Aye haha, just that one line just a bit of crack. Like on Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, there's a prize for the finder, I decided the first one to spot it was getting £5k when I win the national lottery.

Champion ! Whey pull ya finger out with the geurlden ticket eh

Kevin Costner not have a machine for this?

Surely Blue Peter can cobble summat together? I'll donate some empty Fairy Liquid bottles (labels taped over, of course) if someone else can organise the sticky back plastic?

In The Telegraph in the morning, the French are now saying Japan is fucked. Tokyo is going to be like the scene at the end of Logan's Run in a years time. Mark my words.

It'll be interesting to see if this particular prediction comes true.

On a lighter note, I did something incredibly sad the other day - I freeze framed the bit in Logan's run when Jenny Agutter gets her kit off.

Now, anybody got a copy of Walkabout?

She was 18 or 19 actually, but was playing a 15 year old school girl. Definitely had a woman's body - that's allowed isn't it? :icon_lol:

Used to have a massive crush on her tbh.

Best indication of the power of that thing I've seen on video yet. Must be fucking horrible to experience. :icon_lol:

fucking hell.

The building at the start and at the end, that's something like 8-10 metres depth, and it's not a 'wave', it's just there.

Fucking hell, it goes on and on getting progressively worse. Horrific stuff.

Indeed. When the clip started and the cars were moving it was bad enough but by the end that whole lower section of the building is consumed by the water level. Given the respective height in comparison to the cars, that was more than 4 metres, surely?

Awful stuff.

Awful that like :icon_lol: Just an unstoppable flood. I cant imagine standing there and just watching your neighbourhood being brushed away to dirt, like it had never been there.

According to the Beeb they have managed to restore power to the cooling systems by using a 1 km cable connected to the national grid. A bit early to say but this could be the beginning of the end of the disaster.

Heard on the radio this morn that there was also white smoke from reactor #2 and they didnt know why. The cooling starting up again is encouraging though.

Fingers crossed the power cable does start to solve the problems.

Prisonplanet tv. <_<

What an authorative source of information.

If anyone's interested in a more balanced article, this one from the BBC addresses what the real dangers of radiation are - even for survivors of Hiroshima and Nagasaki - and some reasons for people's largely irrational fears of radiation (something we are exposed to naturally every second of our lives). The human body has evolved to be a lot more resilient than a lot of people think.
