Buy one. You'll love it for half an hour before you realise you'll never wear it.

TBH, I'd only ever wear it to matches. (which I never go to due to working about a billion hours a week/being exiled in the midlands/having Man City supporting wife/kid).

Tossers.

I tell you what, how good does that look? (minus the umbro tbf).

My original of that never had the blue star as they never included them in the strips for sale. I want this but really do not want to give NUFC/Fatty a penny. :(

Hence why I'm calling them tossers, it looks spot on!

Nice. I have the old version without the blue star
Also, while the Umbro badge is missing, they used to peel off anyway. Well the old crest certainly did at any rate. Curled up so you had to pick bits off.

Unfortunately not, mate.

Got another pair of NUFC shorts from about 1989, (yes, the umbro is half missing on them as well). The only shirts I kept from around that time for whatever reason was the 1985 Northern Ireland one by adidas as well as the socks and the full KK admiral England strip from 1982.

I'm not a hoarder but can't bare to chuck them out and nobody would pay good money for an old strip they couldn't wear themselves!

Erm.. no. Lord only knows what's going on. Will try and sort it out.

Newcastle United have struck a lucrative new kit deal with existing sponsors Puma. The German sportswear giant will keep producing the iconic black-and-white stripes until at least 2014.

The Sunday Mirror understands Toon owner Mike Ashley has negotiated a significant rise in revenue from the original Puma two-year deal announced in January 2010.

At that time Newcastle were in the Championship and Ashley was appreciative of the contract Puma offered when Adidas stepped aside after 14 years as kit sponsor.

The business relationship between Ashley and Puma has blossomed over the last two seasons and a close partnership has been forged.

Puma are working flat out on a range of new kit designs, but still await details of a new sponsors name for the shirts following the Northern Rock pull-out.
