acrossthepond 878
We can beat these. Am I completely alone in thinking S. Taylor could do a job on the right side? He looked good going forward after coming on v. Bolton and, let's face it, he's always been suspect defensively. Giving him free rein to attack might bring out a different side of his game. Obviously, this only applies if Barton isn't fit.
StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Wouldn't be surprised if Danny Simpson was put in at RM and Taylor coming in at RB if Barton isn't fit, cos i divnt see Pardew playing Ireland from the start in an unfamiliar RM role? Are you mentally handicapped? Simpson RM? haha Alreet Shankly. After AP talkin about Ferguson its alot more likely if anythin that jonas on right and fergie on left. Fwiw i think Ireland will start. Aint that what happened at the Bolton game? Fair enough we were down to ten men but it looked as though Taylor got moved to RB and Simpson just a bit ahead of him, plus i think its a safer option than starting Ireland straight away, might aswell bring him on later in the game if were looking poor in midfield I heavily doubt Ferguson being played especially on the left, as without Enrique making Gutierrez look 5x better than he is and he's a shower of shyte tbh, Gutierrez would be non-existent
OTF 7576
Simpson did ok as a stop gap playing in a wing back role but I don't think he'll be started on the right. Between Barton and Ireland they'll figure something out, but if not Lovenkrands will drop back to play on the left with Jonas moving to the right. This would give Ranger a start up front, though if Shola's back the phantom will play alongside Best keeping Ranger as an impact player which is where he is best utilised IMO. Christmas Tree 4858
Bad news about to break in next 30 minutes You're back on the cake? Worse! I'm back at the match this Saturday. Expect more tedious pre-match commentary. I'm also out with a hardened drinker who I will attempt to keep up with, so my post match analysis may not be upto it's usual standard. Jonas will still be shit.

Noelie 103
Am I completely alone in thinking S. Taylor could do a job on the right side? No you're not alone in thinking that. I've said it before that I thought Saylor could do a good job at right-back. He's played there before and did a decent job. I think he could do a better job there than Wilson ............oops, Simpson.
Guest alex
I think he could but I think Simpson's probably better there tbh.

Simpson and Jose to provide width with Tiote sitting in front of back 3 both Nolan and Ireland have goals in them. Would like to see us try this but doubt it will happen he will just shove Guthrie on the right where he's even shitter than in the middle.

When have we ever played well with three centrebacks? Keegan tried it, Sir Bobby tried it, it just doesn't work for us.
