For two weeks running we have been appauling at home. What the fuck is going on?

The blame is on the players who just didnt do it today but AP's tactics were wrong today as well.

I for one will stop the talk about europe now.

I think everyone of them out there today possibly with the exception of tiote and best, need to have a good look at themselves.

Enrique can fuck off now like.

Really, you were obviously watching a different game to me.

And Jonas deserves some dues, the scruffy twat could barely walk and yet he ran it off without complaint.

The team thought it would be easy and it showed.

Harper....few good saved but his kicking put is trouble quite a few times.

Simpson...was shite at both L and RB, just didnt pick up nor put balls in that he is capable of.

Enrique....didnt look bothered, lax and lazy today and when taken off wasnt bothered. His hearts gone.

Williamson...shocking positional play all game.

Taylor....Shite

Coloccini...best of the 5 but nothing special

Jonas...Yes looked lively and carried the ball well, few good balls too and credit for stayin on pitch but still didnt do enough for me.

Nolan...few good runs, few good passes but was too slow to finish a couple of good chances

Tiote...bossed midfield again but even he got caught in posession far too much.

Lovenkrands....SHITE

Best...lead the line well, got a poachers goal and would of had another if he didnt push.

Shola...can he just stay through the middle? Shite man.

You seriously tellin me your pleased with the "effort"?

Come on mate we were shite today.

I'd pretty much agree with that. My biggest problem with Harper is his distribution. He just hoofs it up field giving possession straight back.

I thought putting that ball boy on at left back was a bit much.

I can imagine CT's match day

pre-match cheeseburger and chips

1st half: 'Told you that enrique was on the wain. Jonas just got lucky with that cross for the goal'

Enrique injured - 'ha its fergie time, oh :( its shola'

half-time cheeseburger with double cheeseburger chaser

2nd half: 'Who's that scrawny little bugger come on at left back. We want fergie. All hail fergie. Get Jonas off, bring on Fergie.'

after match: salad with a side of donner kebab. 'wait that was shane ferguson. shit. he didn't look ready for first team football at all. i wonder how my imagination morphed him from that into garrincha (wait i don't know anything about non-newcastle football) urm, into a laurent robert figure after seeing him for 30 minutes against chelsea reserves. I blame jonas'

This is completely unrealistic, CT would never have a salad.

Not too long since I finished watching this. Was at work so had to rewind my paid-for-stream when i got back. I thought from the start it looked like a match where both left wings would rape the other teams right wings. Enrique seemed a bit reluctant to go forward and then he had to go off. I suspect he might have been touch-and-go before the match. Anyway, their left wing rapists were the far better. I dont know what Simpson was doing on right midfield, and Saylor just seemed to let Arteta do whatever he wanted. Arteta was great today and the main reason Everton were so good.

Our strikers consistently show they cannot score on almost anything other than a tap in (yes I know theres been exceptions). The way I felt Shola was so much better when he got on actuallly managing to keep the ball and get a finish off with one defender on him shows how sad our striking situation is. As someone said I'd be happy with Leon Best as 4th striker, he does put the shift in. Him and Ranger on the bench is for me not a problem next season. We just need to Get preferably 2 main strikers.

There wasnt much wrong with the effort, we just werent any good. Tiote can dominate possesion as much as he wants, we just need more quality players. And we better have got a 2m loan fee for Routledge or something, we could desperately use him.

Anyway, its been a long time since I thought we got a lot more than we deserved. If we give a team this much room we should be letting in alot more than 2 goals.

Just seen their first goal again: Taylor's 'defending', fucking hell.

I thought it was a decent bit of defending from Taylor.

The problem was Simpson’s tracking back. He pretty much let Osman go which left the centre of the defence totally exposed. Taylor got himself in a position to cover the exposed Williamson without totally forgetting about Arteta, and then got himself between Arteta and the goal when Osman released the ball. When Arteta cut the ball back Osman was unmarked because Simpson was still jogging back.

To be fair to Simpson, Tiote’s meant to be the DM and I have no idea where he’d disappeared to.

The positives

Avoided all contact with cheeseburgers and instead had a tuna sandwich. Even asked them to leave off the accompanying chunky chips at which point I was offered and gratefully accepted extra side salad.

Even in my absolute mortal state, no kebab crossed my path and I instead feasted on two slices of toast with dairylea cheese.

The Negatives

Copious amounts of lager.

The Match

Dull Dull Dull

One of those games where you can clearly see one team is more up for it than the other. Our team just didnt look interested apart from perhaps Tiote and Colochini.

Taylor was absolutely shocking.

As reported from last weeks game, Enriques sulk / body language / dis interest, call it what you will, was clear again. As someone has already mentioned he looks gone already and needs some Barton type encouragement.

Jonas bless him tries, and occasionally does ok, but just doesnt do it for me. He very rarely seems capable of putting a first time ball in and never runs into the masses of space down the wing to put himself in a great position for a forward pass. Even saying all that, he still put more effort in than most yesterday.

Naturally overcome with excitement when Fegie got his chance but felt very sorry for him having to come on in that game, when the team was so poor and having already had a kick in the nuts not getting on when Enrique came off.

Thought he showed a little glimpse of whats to come and given the injuries to Enrique and Jonas we may see him in the starting line up next week.

As usual though, the absence of Barton is massive.

Absolutely shite game, imo, read a few comments on here it was good for the neutral, didn't entertain me and left more questions than answers. Simpson was deployed more like a right midfielder than a wing back and he was like a fish out of water, Taylor was the same in his rightish defence position. The thing is right, we haven't played this under Pardew yet, and we've only lost one game, well before yesterday so I start fucking about with the formation. 4 4 2 end "off". We're not fuckin Holland 1988, we're The Toon 2011, no 3 5 2/ 5 3 2 pish Keegan tried it in 94 and it didn't work.

The one thing yesterday highlighted more than anything for me, was what a typically dense decision it was to let Wayne Routledge leave the club on loan. Fucking idiots. "We didn't know we'd have injuries/suspensions" well you make contingencies don't you. What a set of arseholes in charge of this club, and I include Pardew. He was hiding away yesterday looked like Carver calling the shots. To be honest I think 1-3 would've been a fairer reflection, they owed us one and they outclassed us on the break, but HOWARD WEBB, I hate this man. I might a lone voice here, but I genuinely think he has it in for the toon, I haven't seen the goal since I was at the game so I'm not gonna slag him again till I've seen it, but there were so many decisions he gave against us which were almost wind up material.

Lovenkrands is finished imo, he can't hold it up, and very often is the invisible man. That situation in the first half where he dropped it off when he should've shot to Best, it might've been the other way round to be fair, was a goal if they'd just shot, they don't have the killer instinct, to just do it, they just fuck on.

Anyway very disappointing like, it effects your post match mood when we play shite, a few beers turned that round like, but we're not safe yet.

The blue dippers fans sold out the full lot, first time I've seen them do it, they went mental when they scored more mental than I've seen any fans for years, but they're too quiet. Three variations of "Everton, Everton, Everton" and "we dewnt cayyy what de red shyte say" and that was it.

Good turn out though, must've been 51s.

@Blue Dippers - they didn't even abuse that much neither. That's the view from my seat, gutted when we have to move next season.

Pardew's first real test and he's failed it big time for me. Footballs a simple game, just play players in the right position, the last thing you want is to have three players out of position which is what we had between ricky going off and Taylor going off. It just puts you on the back foot right from the start.

We would have been far better starting with Guthrie (which shows how fucking short we are) or Lovenkrands on the right. At least that way we could have kept the back four (which has been pretty good all season) unchanged.

Added to this (or perhaps because of it) we just didn't look up for the game from the start, and this isn't the first time at home we've started this way!

We desperately need Barton back for the next game because without him we are serious short of anyone in midfield who can create anything.

Looking at the performance again, Enrique was shit and really didn't fancy it. A draw at Stoke and I think we can start building for next season. Chelsea and Manchester red will beat us which leaves 6 games needing one win. We should be fine......

I sat where the blue is a couple of times last year. That box in the orange, the BBC were filming in for the Boro game over the Xmas period, we saw Shearer gettin' make up on :( I'd recommend bein' further round towards the red arrow when you relocate, have you picked your new seat yet?

Disappointing. Probably our worst effort since Pardew took over. The experiment with the starting XI was the wrong decision and made us look very shabby defensively. Throughout the game Everton carried more threat, especially on the break, apart from the few minutes between our goal and their equaliser, frustratingly.

Of course we wouldn't have needed to have been faffing about with the likes of Danny Simpson on the right wing had we not offloaded Routledge for no valid reason. Could really have done with him in several games where we've been throwing away leads.

We took just 1 point out of two eminently winnable home games and now we see ourselves looking over our shoulders again. I do believe that the returns of Barton, Ben Arfa and Ireland will be pivotal but it does seem we are a very different team without Joey.

Next up are Stoke, another game where we must be looking to get something. Should be safe with the players coming back but it would have been much nicer to have been looking at the higher reaches of the table as we went into the final straight.
