Wine is gay though. I'll drink it now and then but I'm under no illusions that it's a gay pursuit.

Didn't you used to drink White Zinfandel in the bars of San Francisco?

It doesn't get any gayer than that.

Every time I read the thread title I get Cheryl Crow singing "In a bar that faces the giant car wash" in my head.

Not just me then. :(

Wine is amazing. :(

If you're gonna go for it, really go for it.

I like Red Wine and lately enjoy the odd glass of Rose. I try to get hubby to drink it sometimes but he says it all tastes of vinegar to him :(

He should try that Cypriot Red. Or maybe he has :(

Red wine should taste like alcoholic Ribena. Then it would be awesome.

Any Californian under a tenner should do the job.

:( Listen to the froggy snob! I mean genuinely taste like Ribena.

Get some of yer actual Ribena, and hoy in a load of cooking grade vodka.

It'll probably taste rancid, but after 2 you won't care.

Alternatively add some vinegar to ribena and voila, you have cypriot red wine.

I'd say drinking Malibu or Archers with lemonade, Bacardi Breezers, WKD or that orange liquer is far more poofy than any wine.

I like a vodka & cranberry juice, but it's impossible to pretend to be masculine while drinking one.

Try having a pint of it, with about 1 part vodka to about 5 or 6 cranberry juice. Or whatever is enough to give a real kick. Anyway, wine is not gay, but all the Oz Clarke-esque twaddle that goes with it is. Romans drank wine, as did the Gauls.
