Ken 119
Pakistan should've had this wrapped up with India out for under 200 easily. Calamitous fielding, let's hope they're a little better with the bat. Commentators reckoned the pitch should be good for over 300, and this India side doesn't exactly have a distinguished bowling attack, definitely doable. Commentators should have said the Pakis are corrupt cunts, in a politically correct manner of course.
Ken 119
Just to put the record straight, and Ken's a cunt regardless, Tyne Bridge is actually a copy of the Sydney Harbour Bridge.Basically the company that won the tender to design and build the Sydney bridge, Dorman Long, who were based in Middlesbrough are the very same that built the Tyne Bridge. Allegedly after they had finished the blueprint of the Sydney version, which was based on original 1916 drawings provided by J.J.C. Bradfield, Chief Engineer of Sydney Harbour Bridge and Metropolitan Railway Construction, Dorman Long won the contract for the Tyne Bridge and instead of starting from scratch again, merely re-worked the plans to suit a smaller span. By the way they are both based on New York City's Hell Gate Bridge, so neither city is original. Who gives a shit you croissant-dipping, clay-pot cooking turd. Ken 119
Think Aus should be given back to the little black fellas and all Aus moved to London. Fuck that. There's enough of them there as it is. They're so loud and dense. Enough of who dickhead? Aussies or is it really the stupid northerners who embarrass the rest of the country with their view of the world... JonGoodwyn 1
Sri Lanka have stepped it up a little after a dodgy start Great last 5 or so overs from Sri Lanka, scored 65 odd. Quality from Jayawardene Edited April 2, 2011 by JonGoodwyn
Walliver 0
Great start with the ball as well. Sehwag gone second ball and now Tendulkar's gone for 18.
snakehips 0
India win it by 6 wickets. Good game at the Wankhede stadium But, what is very significant to one fan is that M.S.Dhoni belted the winning runs for 6, so whoever got the ball will be able to sell it for a small fortune - good luck to whoever it was :(
JonGoodwyn 1
Fairly comfortable for them in the end - its a shame its all over now, there were some great matches Twenty20 starts next week, but I've never really got into that as much. But it tends to be a good watch still. Edited April 2, 2011 by JonGoodwyn
snakehips 0
I recall when India won the T20 World Cup, the country went mad. And, politicians being politians, they tried their best to gain public support through it. So, when the team presented the trophy to the nation, in Mumbai I think it was, the players ended up sitting behind the politicians!! There was a bit of a hoo-ha about it. Something tells me the politicians wont be so obnoxious this time - though one can never be so sure.
luckyluke 2
Would have liked to have seen Sri Lanka win (Indian cricket fans over here are incredibly smug) but well played India. I remember being in a bar in Goa when Yuraj hit Broad for six sixes in the DonkeyDonkey, mental.
ewerk 30369
So associate members of the ICC will no longer have a chance to qualify for the WC? I know next to nothing about cricket but how are countries such as Ireland supposed to progress if their citizens aren't going to be inspired by WC victories such as the ones against Pakistan and England? I know next to nothing about cricket but how are countries such as Ireland supposed to progress if their citizens aren't going to be inspired by WC victories such as the ones against Pakistan and England? Shocking decision from the ICC - stopping associate sides like the irish (who pumped england), the dutch (who nearly pumped england) and the scots (would've pumped england last year in edinburgh if you hadn't brought the fkin rain up north!) from participating in the 2015 and 2019 tournaments makes a fkin mockery of the ICC's mantra of spreading the game - question is are they more corrupt than FIFA ?
