TheMoog 0
Our squad needs depth, for that reason I'd keep him.

paulwynuk42NUFC 0
he has impressed me the last few games like something i thought i never say lol so i keep him also. Like you say depends who comes in. In good form at the moment,.his header against Birmingham was a good one
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
What would be the point of getting rid? We're already thin in the position, and even if we do buy someone he's worth keeping for depth.
Dr Gloom 21790
i'm hoping he won't be needed and can be sold; let's face it, he's not the best is he? Â for that to happen though, ashley's going to need to sanction the purchase of at least two or three better quality striker. not likely.
KeithJ 0
Everytime I seen him play in the championship, he always seemed to fall over and a couple of times it worked to our advantage as we scored. I know they say he has 5 goals in 7 games however that was a Hattrick against a very, very poor West Ham side. His goal at Brum wasnt really a convincing header in my opinion. More he flung himself at it hoping it would come off and it did. One thing about his career is he seems to have purple patches where he scored a good few goals and then he will go through a very dry spell.  If we got a good offer in for him in the region of £5-7mil then I would sell him and if you take the Carroll ratio of Premier League appearances, etc. Thats an acceptable amount.  On the other side, he is only 24 and maybe this is him starting to blossom in to his peak. Holden McGroin 6471
The Birmingham header was a good goal imo. Great timing of a leap to beat a big lad like Roger Johnson.
Asprilla 96
Definitely worth keeping IMO. I think he's got a good attitude and some natural ability.
Ayatollah Hermione 13766
If he can keep this goal scoring record going, absolutely, aye. It's probably a purple patch though.
Guest LeazesLad
We're spoilt brats really with centre forwards, even when we've been really shit we've had decent strikers. Personally these are the worst strikers we've ever had in my time supporting the club, and sadly Best is not good enough long term for NUFC. He just hasn't got that killer instinct, doesn't want it enough, but it's the same with Shola, Lovenkrands and I'm starting to believe Ranger will not be a top Premiership striker too. Best is clearly fit enough to make telling runs but he's not intelligent enough. I disagree with Keith J's assertion that it was a lucky goal at St Andrew's great header to be fair, but if he's a rough diamond, then imo, we're still 6 inches of rock away from seeing the diamond, but if he scores 5 in his next 7 games again he may change my mind. Personally though I believe not one of them is good enough for Newcastle up front.
JawD 99
Never rated him since he came. Still dont. Its up to him to change my mind. Not convinced so far like.
The Fish 10681
Not good enough, this is just a purple patch. We need a dominant centre forward, tall lad, strong and decent pace, local would help, maybe a touch of the pikey about him too...

Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
I'd sell all of them for a profit except Ranger, who I'd loan out for a season in the Championship. We need an entirely new strike force. Perhaps we could get away with one up top with BA playing off them.  Just checking the top scorers: Cisse has been banging them in for Freiburg; he's cheap, African, and under 25. Björn Vleminckx is the top scorer in Erevedersie, under 25, cheap. Denis Stracqualursi was the joint top scorer in Argentina last season, he is under 25, cheap, tall, and Spanish-speaking so will be friends with Colo and Enrique.  Then as our main striker we can buy Eto'oo or Milito with the 35 mill because they are unhappy in Inter. It is win/win because Eto'oo is African and Milito is Spanish-speaking so will be friends with Colo and Enrique.

Tom 14011
If he keeps scoring even at a diminished rate he's worth keeping.
Kevin S. Assilleekunt 1
Björn Vleminckx is a real man, look him up. Apparently he is very aggressive and good at headers and shooting but his passing and hold-up play let him down.
Deano 0
Yes i would keep him and Shola as back up. Let Lovenkrands go and send Ranger on Loan. Â But ONLY if we bring in TWO new strikers. Â Derdiyok and Wickham please.

The Fish 10681
It's not all about experience, especially when we've already got experience throughout the side

ewerk 30216
Just like he did with Coventry, he scores his goals in fits and starts. Never a mid-table PL striker.
