Rob W 0
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/other_spor...ing/9398599.stm Alberto Contador has been cleared by the Royal Spanish Cycling Federation (RFEC) after winning his appeal against a provisional one-year doping ban. The three-time Tour de France champion tested positive for banned substance clenbuterol during the race in 2010. The Spaniard, 28, protested his innocence, claiming contaminated meat was responsible for his failed test. Contador was cleared of knowingly using banned drugs and will now take part in the Tour of Algarve from Wednesday. The RFEC's ruling came three weeks after it recommended Contador serve a one-year ban rather than the standard two-year penalty. The sport's governing body, the UCI, and the World Anti-Doping Agency (Wada) have the right to challenge the decision. and that old blood doper Armstrong is finally leaving as well
spongebob toonpants 4183
Rob if you want to know quite how bad doping is in cycling have poke around this forum -quite the eye opener I'm pretty convinced there are very few "clean" sports or sportsmen out there fwiw. The difference in stamina and power in so many sports is so different from 20 years ago.

Arsenal and chelski come to mind especially Edited February 18, 2011 by Rob W
