JaMoUsE 0
too be honest if nowt else hes a massive threat from set pieces. You may mock me but i reckon in the premier league he could do a job winning headers and knock on etc. For the last 20 minutes of the game that is Premier League defenders are notoriously bad against big burly lower league centre forwardfs as theyre used to coming up against more technical players. GeeForce 0
Our young lads really couldn't be any worse than Kuqi, why not give them a run out? because with lovenkrands and a n other teenager upfront we would have no strength and be unable to hold the ball up. Every game would be like the fulham game. The whole squad is used to playing with a big lad upfront holding the ball up and we fail miserably when we try and play any other way. The young lads are simply too slight and weak with no experience of keeping hold of the ball
OTF 7243
If I can put the only positive spin on this possible. It doesn't really matter who this signing is, they should only be used as an absolute last resort if an injury crisis hits our remaining three front men. It's better to keep as much money in the kitty for the summer window where there are no restrictions on where we can look for players. Better than paying large wages for a past it Brazillian, or a never was frenchman. ...

Holden McGroin 6471
I doubt he'll get much game time unless we have a batch of injuries. Then you can argue an emergency loan could be used.

Honestly though Best's heading was abysmal in the Arsenal game, but he obviously has a decent shot on him if nothing else.

Guest alex
Does getting older make you shitter in the air? Yes. Explain how your worse in the air at 34 than 30? Explain how getting older doesn't have a detrimental effect on muscles, joints, etc. Not to mention the effect of playing professional football over a period of time. I'm not that arsed about this as he probably won't play but 34 year olds without a club are generally shit. I'm surprised any of that needs explaining tbh. So ill throw the goalkeeper argument at you, dont they hit their prime in 30s? diving about making top corner saves? doesnt seem to affect them

I would guess though that that's because being a goalkeeper has a much lower impact in terms injuries sustained because the role is so different. However, even a goalkeeper is less agile in his mid-30s than his early 20s. They gain experience and decision making skills that make them better. I'd be surprised if there were that many keepers that are actually better at 34 than at, say for example, 28 though. There are just notable examples of keepers who play into their late 30s because their body (and their legs in particular) don't suffer the same damage as the average outfield player.
