ajax_andy 0
Bit of a long shot I know, but does anyone have, or know someone with a Labrador puppy they are looking to home? Ideally it'd be 6 months to a year old, but would consider a younger pup. Cheers Andy
Kevin 1
Why not get a new born one? Also, get a retriever
Jusoda Kid 1
The RSPCA will be confiscating Kevins shortly, try getting in touch with them.

ajax_andy 0
Would prefer not to get a newly born pup as we both work, so one 6 months or older would be best. I would still come home at lunch time to let it out etc, but don't want to leave a newly born pup alone for 4 hours at a time.

Jusoda Kid 1
Might know someone, I'll get back to you if its any good. Nice one mate that would be much appreciated Our lasses sister just got one about 6 weeks ago off the same breeder her mam got her two off, they had about three litters on the go at the same time so I'd imagine there'd be some left. From a farm outside of Alnwick, not sure if theres papers with them mind as they're working stock as far as I know, be about 4 months old now. she's asking hers sister today, I think they're about £3-400 mind, maybe less

Basically the popularity of the 'breed' is all down to poodle hair not causing allergic reactions. The lass up the street has a one that is 3/4s Jack Russell and 1/4 Poodle and it's crackers. I quite like it though. Not as good as mine like

Just sort of ended up with him by chance as we were looking and fancied a Jack Russell or similar but he's class. Proper nice temperament with dogs and people. A bit naughty now and again but no bother really and you don't want some boring lapdog, do you?
BigAl 0
To be honest you are better off getting a pup as you can train it the way you want it to be even at 6 months they have picked up some bad habits that will take some shifting. By the way i have got a Large Munsterlander and he is brilliant. Edited February 8, 2011 by BigAl

Thanks for looking in to it mate it's much appreciated! Going to have a look at a 7 month old chocolate lab on Sunday... Think the missus has her heart set on it even though we've never met it lol! Woman sent us some pics and tbh he is immensely cute! If that doesn't work out could be interested in the 2 year old cross you mentioned, will give u a shout if we want to have a look. Cheers again

I would give the Chocolate lab a miss if I were you they might look nice but they are a handful, it's no coincidence that you never see a Chocolate Lab as a guide dog. Honestly you would be better off getting a pup as you will not inherit all the problems.

Was thinking about getting a border and noticed when I was looking on the net that the majority of working terriers are crossed anyway. My mate who I used to line my old dog with breeds Jack Russels and offered me pick of the litter for nowt so I took the bairns down and picked one. Wanted a bitch but there was 5 in the litter and they were all dogs. He's turned out lovely other than his spark plugs standing up when they should be half cocked. He's the only one in the litter to have this fault but his mother was the same, not that were bothered, the bairns love him.

Cheers again No probs, this kennels is by appointment only so let me know and I'll get it sorted. It's really sad state of affairs as some of the dogs are spot on it's just that they've been abandoned or no longer wanted, people emigrating etc, but they vet them and make sure their ok to be re-homed. Some aren't mind and will see their days out there. Apparently theres a 16 week old Jack Russel bitch in but one of the lads that works there has taken her home but if she comes up for grabs I might have a look. ajax_andy 0
Aye I'm prepared for it to be a handful like, but tbh all young labradors are, he'll just need to be trained properly, it won't be easy but I'm prepared for the hard work. All dogs can be trained it's just a matter of knowing what to do & sticking with it. Would love a brand new pup but it really wouldn't be fair on one as the wife and I are out of the house all day at work, so thats why we're getting a slightly older one even though we know will already have picked up bad habits Edited February 9, 2011 by ajax_andy
