Whats our True Standing in the League

So these are the teams that make up the league. Taking into consideration financial stability and current squads, what is our true standing.

Obviously the likes of Everton are fucked financially and an input of around half a billion would be needed to buy the club, build a new stadium and rejuvenate the squad. Therefore I would put us ahead of them.

Where would we fit in with the rest. (I dont know btw, hence the question).

Man Utd

Arsenal

Man City

Chelsea

Tottenham

Sunderland

Liverpool

Blackburn

Newcastle

Stoke

Bolton

Blackpool

Aston Villa

Everton

Fulham

West Brom

Birmingham

Wigan

Wolverhampton

West Ham

Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club

On the pitch minus Carroll, we're in a 5 team bracket that includes, Newcastle, Bolton, Everton, Villa and Fulham. Above us beyond doubt are The big 3, Man City, Yid, the mackems, and Liverpool.

I'd have us 10th personally team wise. Fanbase wise 4th.

I don't get the question.

In a moment of boredom I was trying to look at the club from a different perspective based on the quality of our squads to others and our financial position to others. Almost as a buyer would.

Example.

If you were buying Everton you would need 200 mill to pay of their debt and 100 mill to build a new ground. Their squads not great so all things considered I would rather buy Newcastle.

I was just trying to get a "real" picture of our worth / standing etc rather than the emotional fans view which ranges from a relegation threatened bottom feeder to contender for Europe.

Basically, any owner looking for a football club to compete at the high levels of the game, should be buying Newcastle way before the likes of Everton, Villa etc. Nobody in the country has a stadium like us bang in the middle of the city, an exclusive one club one city support, and the potential to fill a 70,000 stadium with local support alone.

It's a total no brainer, it suggests the people who have bought certain football clubs, just haven't done their homework.

Our current "standing" ie a club with falling gates, revenue and one that is now selling our best players only epitomises the absolute disgrace of an owner. So, our "standing" is in essence the ambition and the "goal" of the owner, which is survival in the top league and no more than that. That is how people, that don't know football, will see us.
