Best away support in the league.... http://www.statbunke...atType=away_Att The top 4 all in the bottom half. One for Stevie. Misleading that. Everyone else benefits from Man Utd's 75000 attendances but they don't. nufc.com do it the fairest way, by adding the clubs own average gate to their tally and dividing it by 20. Every season Man Utd and Liverpool are first and second, and we've never been lower than fourth, it's us and Arsenal swapping places. Every season we're top 4 on that score, its funny why more home fans turn out for us than Man City, Spurs and Chelsea every season. There must be a reason. Happy Face 29
I only looked it up after motd showed agueros goal at Swansea and the man city end was half empty. Couldn't believe the champions elect took so few on that short journey.

Kitman 2207
Alex McLeish gone the journey, according to Twitter... are you whispering that? says on the BBC that he's set for talks with the Villa Board today on the season. Doesn't bode well for him and rightly so. For his sake I hope his opening gambit in response to the question "So how do you think it went?" isn't "Well it wasnae all that bad"..... sweetleftpeg 0
McLeish was a dead man walking the moment he entered Villa. Compounded by the fact Hughton was forced to get rid of a fair few of Big Ecks relegation squad and rebuild with no money yet Brum fans are far happier with the current side. Happy Face 29
Gary Neville gets the England coaching job....stays as a pundit on Sky too. Never thought I'd see the day when I'd be pleased for him. Wasn't convinced I could ever like the bloke early on, but in the space of 1 season he's become the most common sense commentator out there. Isn't that just down to winning games and getting the feel good factor back? The same could have been said for us when we went down, we were much happier with the squad that was winning most weeks despite losing the likes of Bassong, Beye and Martins who would have walked into Tue side. Sonatine 11376
Club statement: Alex McLeish Statement from the board. 14th May 2012 Aston Villa can confirm that Alex McLeish's contract has been terminated with immediate effect. The club has been disappointed with this season's results, performances and the general message these have sent to our fans. The board wishes to assure supporters that we are conscious in every sense that Villa expects and deserves more and we will strive to deliver this. Villa chairman Randy Lerner said: "We need to be clear and candid with ourselves and with supporters about what we have lacked in recent years. "Compelling play and results that instil a sense of confidence that Villa is on the right track have been plainly absent. "The most immediate action that we can take is to look carefully at our options in terms of bringing in a new manager who sees the club's potential and embraces our collective expectations." Chief Executive Paul Faulkner said: "We'd like to thank Alex for his hard work and efforts throughout this tough season. "We are mindful of the club's need to prepare thoroughly for the new campaign and for the new manager to be able to begin working with the board so that he is quickly immersed in these preparations and also in the long-term objectives of the club. "Our focus now will be driven by these imperatives and we will update when appropriate." Doubt we'll see him managing again at this level tbh.
