Craig 6700
What the hell has Gareth Bale done this year as well? And Rooney's had an ordinary year by his standards. The 3 Man City players I'd probably agree with.
Craig 6700
And I'm amazed Yaya Toure isn't even considered. Parker ahead of him? What a f*cking joke!

Krul, Colo and Ba should be in there somewhere if Bale, Rooney and Parker are in there as theyve all had average seasons

TicTacWoe 0
Not sure we can have too many complaints about the player of the year thing (apart from the fact Parker should be nowhere near the list). Ba has had dry spells and in any case RVP will almost certainly win it. Colo is the only valid shout for the main list and defenders always have a tough time in these things. As for Krul for the young player award, he's 24 so maybe he's too old for it now? If not I agree he should definitely be on that list if not outright win it. Monroe Transfer 0
Krul just turned 24. He's 2 months older than Aguero who made the list (well, both lists!).
NJS 4418
Need a direct line to Sky: Neville (after showing good examples) - "Beckham, Gerrard, Lampard, Messi - are they cheats?" Yes you stupid cunt.
TicTacWoe 0
Krul just turned 24. He's 2 months older than Aguero who made the list (well, both lists!). Should have been on it so. That said I think 24 is too old for the young player list. Probably made sense in the past but with players breaking through earlier I'd say 23 and up should be only be eligible for the main list. ewerk 31238
Actually, make it 50. I'll go 50 if they both start on 0 points now, i.e. Everton -4 fair crack that. 50 from me too
ewerk 31238
You'll be praying for an early May Moysie departure ok Ewerk its a deal. Sputnik I'll take your bet too. 7 Everton P33 Pts 47 19 Blackburn P34 Pts 28 So if my calculations are correct, even with a 4 point handicap, Everton cannot be caught. I know you're not the sort of fella to welch on a bet so if you could see that £100 makes its way to the SBR Foundation by the end of the season and post up a heartfelt apology to Billy Castell then we'll say no more about it. Sonatine 11617
Footballer rape trial: Ched Evans guilty, Clayton McDonald cleared Ched Evans joined Sheffield United for £3m in 2009Continue reading the main story Related Stories Jury out in footballers rape case Rape jury hears footballer denial Rape jury told woman 'in control' Footballer Ched Evans has been found guilty of raping a 19-year-old woman while another player Clayton McDonald has been cleared. Wales and Sheffield United striker Evans, 23, was convicted by a jury at Caernarfon Crown Court. Both he and Port Vale defender McDonald, also 23, had denied rape at a Premier Inn near Rhyl, Denbighshire. The men admitted having sex with the woman on 30 May, 2011 but said it was consensual. During the trial, the jury saw video interviews in which the woman, now 20, said she could not remember what happened and feared her drinks were spiked. She could not remember travelling to the hotel, but woke up in a double bed. "My clothes were scattered around on the floor," she said. "I just didn't know how I got there, if I had gone there with anyone. I was confused and dazed." The court heard that Evans, whose mother lives in Rhyl, had invited McDonald and others for a bank holiday night out in the seaside town on 29 May. Because there was not enough space at Evans' mother's house, he booked McDonald into the hotel. The court heard that McDonald met the woman and took her back to the hotel room, sending a text to Evans stating he had "got a bird". During Evans' evidence, he told the jury he had gone to the hotel, let himself into McDonald's room and watched his friend and the woman having sex. It was claimed McDonald asked if his friend could "get involved", to which the woman said yes. The prosecution claimed that while the attack happened, Jack Higgins, an "associate" of the footballers, and Ryan Roberts, Mr Evans' brother, watched through a window. The court heard the defendants had known each other since they were 10 years old and shared digs when they played for Manchester City's youth academy. Gemmill 46231
How only one of them is guilty when you read the story is beyond me. Would seem to be either none or both. Presumably the fact that she went back with the other lad has got him cleared, whilst Evans's blatantly taking advantage has done for him. Either way, what a pair of fucking weirdos. Texting your mate to tell him you've got a bird, and him taking that as am invitation to go and watch/join in. Awful for the lass obviously. The Fish 10978
Sir Alex Ferguson today: "We didn't get [a penalty] against Wigan during the week. We didn't scream from the rooftops about it. It happens. We got one given against us for Newcastle, we didn't scream about that either. You get bad decisions and good ones. Believe me, it does even itself out." Sir Alex Ferguson following aforementioned Newcastle game in November: "The penalty decision was an absolute travesty. The referee saw the incident and gave a corner, and he was in a far better position to judge than the assistant because he was only about eight yards away. I don't think anyone in the ground apart from the assistant thought it was a penalty, but he then let the linesman overrule him. I could not understand the decision at all. Everyone, including the referee, was astounded when the linesman put his flag up. He was put in a terrible position. Why can't the referee overrule it when he is only eight yards away? It is not for me to decide whether the assistant referee gets another game again but it was an absolutely shocking decision. It costs you, a decision like that. Two years ago, when the linesman gave the offside goal against Chelsea, it cost us the league, so hopefully we're not saying that at the end of May."
