Rayvin 5223
Â Actually I was just thinking before, I bet RAWK couldn't pull together a two-three page thread hijack based around the links between classical literature and bowel movements. That's where TT comes into its own!

StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Paul Clement is favorite for their job. If Ancelotti gets sacked then he'd be compo free and I know I'd rather have a punt on him than Maclaren. Â However if the alternative is Carver I'd take anyone. Rayvin 5223
Actually, what am I saying. We're currently managed by Carver so yeah, I'd take Clement if he's available.

Rayvin 5223
Agreed, that's that then. Â Well, at least it isn't Carver. I wonder if Carver knew that though, or if the board really allowed him to think that it could be him.
PaddockLad 17260
Derby fell to bits a bit, he didn't seem to know how to arrest the slide...hmmmm...their strikers did get injured though, Martin was out for ages iirc.. Â Paul Clement to Derby apparently...
Kitman 2207
If Maclaren knows how to put together a sustained run of defeats he souns perfect for us.
Rayvin 5223
I checked the Derby forum, and they seem genuinely appreciative of him and are wishing him well etc, despite the problems towards the end of the season. Maybe his links to us became an unsettling factor as well.
StoneColdStephenIreland 74
Havent we kinda done this with players before? We'd declare interest or put a bid in, they'd get unsettled and we'd just not bother with them after the first bid or whatever? It rings a bell but I cant remember the player or players names. Howay 12496
We done that with Debuchy didn't we? Let his contract run down a bit more after unsettling him and signed him. So it's basically nailed on that it's McLaren, better than the lingering fear that for some odd reason Carver was kept on. I'd probably rather give Clement a shot. Rayvin 5223
So much for Garde... Â At least McClaren actually might come good, although I can't help but think he's just another Pardew style manager. That said, he's been around the block in Europe a bit which is more than Pardew managed. Edited May 21, 2015 by Rayvin
Howay 12496
He's a better coach than Pardew, slightly less of a bellend too (dodgy dutch accent aside). I far prefer him over Pardew but it's not an overly ambitious appointment.
