At the risk of sounding like I'm quoting from my Grindr preferences, it was "Swallows and Amazons", too.

I must have visited a better class of library...

Oh and I was referencing Shakespeare's Henry V

I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,

Straining upon the start. The game's afoot:

Follow your spirit, and upon this charge

Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'

Yes, let's draw Gosforth against Seaton Sluice in the third round of the Poshness Cup and see how that one plays out. :D

Well the jokes on you pal, because there isn't a proper library in the Sluice!

I'm not sure the back page of The Sun is going to be referencing Shakespeare prior to an England game tbf ;)

I accept your apology.

This review of his case that's going through at the moment..... When he was released he applied to the crown for leave to appeal his conviction, not sure on what grounds, but that was turned down by the crown. This present review is being entirely funded by his father in law and is aporently doomed to failure too. Doubt if he'll ever play again if this is the case. His registration as a player is with the football league, but they're seemingly unwilling to withdraw it to make sure he definitely can't.

The lad must be sick as a chip, that's 4 clubs now who have told him they will give him a deal and then changed their mind

Are the clubs that stupid that they think the sponsors, fans etc wont care about him being there?

Not on a par with this shit storm. I'm not agreeing or disagreeing, simply pointing out the inconsistencies in the Twitter juries moral and ethical standpoints

Bill Cosby got a standing ovation at his standup show last night

Before I continue I want to be clear I don't like rape, rapists or rape seed oil.

I wonder how much of the furore is because it's a thing to get angry about? I don't doubt that there are people genuinely appalled at the thought of Evans pulling on the shirt that their heroes have worn, but equally it's known that the British public aren't afraid to take offence for something to do.

There'll be a better way to put this I'm sure, but are there people who think , 'by being outraged at the convicted rapist getting back into football I'm proving I'm anti-rape and therefore a good person'?

Are people doing good things (signing petitions and calling him what he is) but for the wrong reasons?
