ewerk 31195
So Arsenal sign a player on loan to cover for their current injuries. He turns up and tells them that he has an injury and they ignore it and sign him anyway. And the next day they find out that he's going to miss at least 6 games with the injury he warned them about. They're even more incompetent than us.

Monkeys Fist 43066
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/25986093 An LMA statement said: "Brian received a call [on Friday] night from a solicitor informing him that Leeds United were terminating his contract as manager. "[On Saturday] morning Brian received a further phone call from a director of the football club stating that the company on whose behalf the solicitor had contacted Brian are not the owners of Leeds United. "In the circumstances, Brian was asked by the directors of the club not to take the match and we are awaiting clarification of the situation over the weekend." Makes us look well run. Howmanheyman 33835
Shane Ferguson (Birmingham City) No place in the squad for Fergie as City shared six goals with Derby County in the Championship, Saturday. Romain Amalfitano (Dijon) There was no sign of the winger as Dijon won 3-0 at home to Brest in Ligue 2 on Friday. So these two can't even get a game on loan to clubs in the second division of England and France. What a waste of a great crosser.
Howmanheyman 33835
From nufc.com: Nigel Walker RIP We're saddened to report the passing of ex-Newcastle midfielder Nigel Walker on Sunday morning aged just 54, following a long battle against cancer. Writing in the Chronicle, his wife Nicki said: "He died after a long fight with cancer, having had a rare form of lymphoma for 25 years, which he never let get him down and worked through most of the time, then developing secondary malignant melanoma last June. "He has fought so hard, with great stoicism, and an undaunted spirit." Gateshead-born Nigel joined United in 1977, debuting in a 1-1 home draw with Bristol City in November of that year. Following relegation, Walker was a more established part of the senior squad and featured for the first team until his 74th and final game, a 1-2 loss at Chelsea during November 1981. He scored three goals for the club. Spending time in the USA with San Diego Sockers, Nigel returned to the UK and appeared for Crewe Alexandra, sunderland, Blackpool, Chester and Hartlepool. Training to be a school teacher, he also played for local non-league sides Blyth Spartans and Dunston Fed. We'll remember him as a hugely talented but inconsistent prospect whose potential was never fully realised - but who remained among our better performers in the immediate pre-Keegan, Waddle and Beardsley era. A bit before my time but 54 seems no age.

The Fish 10963
Odd timing, they need stability, surely? Unless they're banking on the new manager to spur them away from those bottom 10 teams and into the top half?
