BlythSpartan 0
Get along to Blyth! Playing our best football in years, and the standard is really good now too. Plus the atmosphere is superb. I know there's a lot of you closer to Gateshead, (I'd rather see a big turnout at Croft Park) but if you are truly sick of NUFC give it a break for a year or two and watch a local team with real pride and passion. No need for FCUN when there is already quality to support in the area. Seriously, get along to Blyth, ex Newcastle striker, and "Blyth Spartans is pleased to announce that our home game against Workington on Tue 8th February KO 7.45pm will be a “Supporters Day”. Admission prices for this game will reduced as follows:- Full from £10 to £5 Concessions from £5.50 to £3."
luckyluke 2
No. An AFC Newcastle would only work if this club folded. Newcastle United is bigger than the players, bigger than the management, bigger than the owner. FCUM aint doing too bad? How much more shite do we have to take off these cunts? I'm not really convinced by FCUM. They're doing well because they're successful, just at a lower level. I'd expect a lot of their fanbase to go back to Old Trafford when they begin to struggle a bit more. I hate the fat twat as much as the next man and don't invisage a happy, stable future for NUFC until he chokes on a Fray Bentos but they're the club I was brought up supporting and I always will. Anywa, we can't even organise a coherent and sustained campaign to protest against his ownership so how on earth would our fans manage to set up a football club from scratch? Agree 100%. We've just got to suck it up, weather the storm and remember that the club is bigger than the fat one (hard to imagine boom boom) and that one day he will be gone and the club will still be here. I've never been convinced by FCUM either. Especially as I remember reading that its fans intend to support both teams until FCUM is on a par with Man Utd which firstly is never going to happen and secondly is pretty much missing the point. I'm not saying that all FCUM fans are like that btw but I imagine it applies for the vast majority. You can't have it both ways, you either abandon your club or you don't. To do that it should require some enormous change to the club's identity so that you no longer feel it is the club you are tied to - like what happened to Wimbledon, so I can fully understand the reasoning behind AFC Wimbledon. Not because the owners/board's actions aren't exactly in what you believe to be the best interests of the club. I may be an 'out of towner' but I'm NUFC til I die or until it's renamed Sports Direct FC and moved to London, I'm not about to give up just because Ashley's greed/incompetence will stop us competing near the top level for 5, 10 or 20 years. Love the way you sing get in to them and fuck them up to oh when the mags....by the way. I prefer Blyth to Gateshead though as it's historically in our county, plus you're too far away from the pitch at the International Stadium. I'll never understand why Anthony Shandran wasn't given a long term deal, saw him twice, fair enough he looked like a bouncer but he was mint, same with Robbie if he wasn't so lazy he could've played League 2 easily. BlythSpartan 0
If I remember right, Robbie had trials with Oxford but didn't put a shift in, which suits me fine!

BlythSpartan 0
Harrogate Town. Which is a real shame as Blyth even negotiated a transfer for him in his day job too! Top player though and was superb in the last FA cup run.
Toonpack 11053
Would rather people who didn't go supported current lercal sides to be honest. Newcastle proper doesn't have one. North Shields will be the biggest round here in 5 years time though imo. My mate Woody runs North Shields and they're a decent side. He's played at Blyth Spartans amongst many others. Canny standard, tbh. I was there at Wembley when they won the FA Amateur Cup, great days.

See their ground as well, have a look at the pics on the net, was the biggest non league ground in the country up to about 25 years ago, held 19,000. They had to shut it down though cos during a game a player was running on the to a through ball and he fell down a hole which just appeared from no where. Appleby Park was a great little ground, many happy memories until it all went tits up and they had to sell it.

Monroe Transfer 0
Something has to be done. The thing is, however, nothing will work. Our only hope is getting lucky and someone ekse wanting to buy the club.
