Renton 23127
I've been out for a walk and honestly so far its not too bad. Absolutely nothing like Arwen was on the coast when a few houses around here literally lost their entire roofs. Think the difference is, Eowyn has gusts of 70 whereas Arwen was sustained constantly at this speed. Anyway, because of the strange Tolkein coincidence, it inspired me to another creation (yes, I know, I am addicted).

I was out first thing this morning putting the garden furniture and anything that looked like it might take flight in the garage. The dog's paddling pool (yes, the dog has a paddling pool) has gone in there too cos that fucker takes off and could brain someone. Not as badly as a trampoline mind you. It's meant toe be 72mph gusts here now, rising to 78 for a couple of hours at lunchtime, then gradually dying off. Wind is proper stress weather. I've convinced myself the fences are coming down and the roof's coming off, and I'm just sat here waiting for it to happen. @Renton Gemmill's new AI render demands the addition of a dog in a paddling pool

Howmanheyman 35435
With his usual talent for timing one of my mates has organised a piss up in his garden bar tonight complete with gazebo. He also organised a Leo Sayer in Edinburgh a few years ago when GNER cancelled all the trains going up there because of a similar storm. If he found a time machine he'd definitely fancy a lads piss up in Pompeii circa 79AD. Edited January 24 by Howmanheyman

Ayatollah Hermione 14456
Only brave men put the bin out last night. Right now, as per the Ring doorbell, it was emptied at 7:30 AM and has been brought by the side gate by the neighbour with no damage present. Another roaring success
Ayatollah Hermione 14456
Think the bags of cat shit that I accidentally left by the back door might be scattered on the wind like a dead man’s ashes, like but that’s a problem for someone else
Howmanheyman 35435
My bins have been fine, had to put the outside furniture upright but that's about it so far.
Monkeys Fist 44313
Until about 9:00am this morning, there was a stack of window frames about 5ft high in position 1 of the builder’s cabin. As I was putting loose garden things in the garage, a nice big gust moved them via route 2, to within a foot or two of my car. A quick “How!! You need to fucking shift these!!” in my deepest voice possible got a young labourer over the wall and shifting everything to position 3 in about 3 minutes flat. Rear windscreen had a lucky escape.
Gemmill 48563
It's a fair bit wilder out there in the last hour or so. Fence and roof are still standing firm but I've been on a call for the last half an hour there and a few things have been falling over around the neighbours. What's the view from the coast, Ramsay's Weather Nightmares? @Renton

Fucking hell, that was lucky! What time does your shift start tonight? I was expecting lunch time to be the worst of it but this cunt is not keeping to his original timings.

It was aye, the worst was that they didn’t all blow off, so I was out there in my PJ’s ready to catch them if they blew off whilst young shaver was scrambling up on their roof. I’m due in at 10pm and heading South East, so I’ll be keeping an eye on it.

Gemmill 48563
Oof. Looks mucb better by 10pm - gusts down into the 40s, so hopefully it'll be relatively stress free. Got fingers crossed for you!
