No comment from team on Armstrong doping claims - the Age Australia

Rupert Guinness

January 21, 2011

TEAM Armstrong has battened down the hatches in commenting about an American sport magazine report into doping allegations against its American namesake - the seven-time Tour de France champion Lance Armstrong. Armstrong's inner-sanctum yesterday took the same approach as the rider when asked about the Sports Illustrated report posted online this week.

The Texan's RadioShack team manager Johan Bruyneel refused to comment on the report when asked at the Tour Down Under yesterday. Armstrong's business agent Bill Stapleton, who arrived in Adelaide yesterday, also refused to comment. Armstrong is continuing his unwavering commitment to racing in the Tour Down Under, in which he rode yesterday as a helper to his new Australian teammate Robbie McEwen who began the 139-kilometre third stage from Unley to Stirling as the overall leader.

even Sherlock Holmes was wrong sometimes - but murder's are generally committed by someone who knows the victim - hence the police trawling thru Bristol arresting all the neighbours
