DesperateDannyB 0
The worst piece of business Tottenham did was selling JDHAY to Portsmouth for £6m and getting hiim back for £16m exactly 12 month later. Harry helping Peter Storrie out imo. Bent as my man bag that cunt. Of course Seems to be a solid history of Tottenham stuff-ups on the player market. Ignoring Berbatov 10m > 30m And Carrick 3.5m > 18m or my personal favorite Mido 2.5 > 4.5 hahaha yeah we're the mugs And also thanks to the generosity of mr Learner a small profit on Bent. Im sure a 5mil loss on Bentley and a 6m NET gain on Keane over his spurs life will soften that blow of being this country's transfer dunces Edited January 20, 2011 by DesperateDannyB

Based on the fact that we have qualified for the knock out stages of the champions league and this is the closest prem title chase in many years with the powers of Chelsea and united fading? Or the fact we now have players choosing to move to us over said teams?

Best chance you'll ever get and you're 8 points behind Man Utd and they've got a game in hand, which is a lot when you think about how many points they've dropped / how few points it looks like it's going to take to win it. I can understand your excitement though. 5th is brilliant, relatively speaking.

angrysteve 0
Sunderland a reportedly willing to part with 16 mil to land Keane and Pav. reportedly after Owen... http://www.caughtoffside.com/2011/01/18/su...united-striker/ and a succession of other cackers... Bruce will now turn his attention to Stoke’s Ricardo Fuller and Wigan’s Hugo Rodallega, neither of whom would cost a fraction of the £24m received for Bent from Aston Villa....and, as a short-term gamble, he is also considering a move for Birmingham veteran Kevin Phillips. A return to Wearside – however brief – would be a popular switch for Phillips, 37, who netted 132 goals in six seasons at the club.

Name the players in your side now that you think you could sell for a profit? Van Der Vaart might be one though he'd have a limited set of clubs he could go to, then there's Lennon. Bale's value will have gone up from the 10m you paid. Modric's value will have held. Huddlestone's will have risen. The rest will have dropped off. Gomez 8m Hutton 9m Kaboul 9.5m (you've already lost 5.5m on him) Jenas 7m+ Pavlyuchenko 14m Keane 12m+ Palacios 12m Crouch 10m dos Santos 5m+ Defoe 16m Bentley 15m+ Bassong 8m Dawson 8m Corluka 8.5m

Also we only ended paying 5m to Southampton for Bale as we bought out way out of the other 5 for an upfront payment as they were struggling. We would probably get 5 times that now. Dawsom came as an 8 mil package with andy reid. So at the most you can value him at him at 4 mil. Worth probably 3 times that now. Lennon bought from Leeds for 1.5mil. Worth between 8-10 now I would say. Huddlestone bought from Derby for 4.5 mil. Would command int he region of 10-15 mil for him now. Gallas aquired on a free, would probably get a couple of mil for him on recent form. And lets face it alot of players you mention above have take Spurs to the CL. Do you think that would have decreased their value? Son. I would do some research before slating other peoples teams because youre never going to know as much as them and ALWAYS going to get burried. The Fish 10674
I would like spurs,I enjoy the way they play and I think they've got some cracking players. However, every spurs fan I've ever had the displeasure of talking with falls into two categories. The "I loike footbaww, Spurs aare the fahkin kings of the world 11!!1" while knowing nothing about the game in general and having only a passing knowledge of their own fucking team. or those who are obsessed with being viewed as a "big club" who're "important" and such. The kind of fans who sign up to another teams message board, not to join in general conversations about the state of world football, but to sit in a corner and throw shit around whilst masturbating furiously as they mumble the chorus of Diamond Lights. By that I mean they seem to be more passionate about their wumming, than they do supporting their own team. I tell you what, if Danny could turn a phrase, could craft a joke, could find humorous pictures to illustrate his point, he may be entertaining, but he's just a slightly more intelligent version of toughguymick. OTF 7238
Just quoting the numbers makes the case. The players I ommitted I expressely mentioned before that as being players that I believe have risen or at least held value. Kidding if you think Dawon is worth 12m, though you're right, I didn't realise he came as a two for one with Reid. Probably slipped in in Reid's shadow with noone noticing. Taking a gamble on making the Champions League this season, not sure who'se going to drop out of that top 4 to make way for you. I'll admit that the Tottenham candle is burning brightly at the moment...... you can finish the rest of that analogy being the smart lad that you are.
