Monroe Transfer 0
Why are we so incapable of simply running down the clock? It's not like we needed to push for a goal. Sunderland equalising last weekend I put down to just being one of those days, a lapse in concentration. It happens. But to do it again in the next match is just unforgivable. I still can't fathom why we weren't doing the usual running to the corner flag and simply holding on to it. It doesn't make sense.
Smooth Operator 10
Ranger's the future Shola is the past, typical case of a manger without their first choice striker going for experience over a younger player with greater ability, he's playing it safe to the detriment of the team. Ranger will make mistakes and miss chances etc as any up and coming player does but he makes his own chances and looks to get at defenders, runs with the ball and harries the opposition none of which Shola has ever done imo. shackbleep 0
The two bastard teams I hate more than any are Spurs and Sunderland and both those cunts have denied us a win in injury time. Bastards!!
Dr Kenneth Noisewater 0
I'll tell you what fucking did us. Letting Routledge go without a replacement meant we only had Perch to bring on. What a fucking boost to give the opposition seeing that lumbering crock of shit come off the bench. It's no coincidence that we barely touched the ball for 5 minutes after that. Was Gosling not on the bench? Thought he'd be ready made to come on for Guthrie.

Deano 0
Again i liked Pardews interview after the game. He's honest and open and to the point. I honestly can see 'potential' as a manager....likes the attacking game and he wants us to be responsible at the back. I just wish we had some clout so he could bring in a few more faces. We do need a striker, wide man and cover at left and right back.

Mac-Toon 1
Bloody infuriating 2 weeks running getting so close and fucking it up in the closing stages. Shola will never be a goalscorer as long as I've got a hole in my arse and Perch is soo far off the pace it's laughable. We should have held onto the ball better after last weeks horror but it wasn't to be. The thing is, I'd have taken a point beforehand but when you come so close it's like being kicked in the moy with a size 10.
Monroe Transfer 0
No fucking manager with our thin squad would've let Routledge go out on loan without a 100% certain replacement coming in, but it seems like pardews let that happen no problem. To be fair a similar thing happened when Milner left. Just saying Ashley has history when it comes to such situations.

He's not a negative influence in the dressing room, can make a difference when coming on and unless I've missed something we're fucking thin on the ground for cover. Imagine Barton gets injured? Who's going to move across? It was an ill made decision I think, lets hope we don't rue the day. Over the moon we're performing really really well and sitting nicely in a table I thought we'd struggle in and in honesty we should be 4th or 5th with the points we've openly gifted when we were comfortable. On reflection, a draw was about reet today.

However when you are playing a very good pacy team who have gone all out to get a goal and your playing them with a much weakened team, its a lot easier said than done. loonyTOON 10
I cant see us in February with no new faces. Wont happen. Pardew is honest with the fans and would plain and simply state if he cant sign anyone. He hasn't so I believe we will. I also think Pardew will get rid of dead weight in the summer. Smith/Xisco/Raylor/Campbell/Ameobi/Lovenkrands will all go. Smith alone would free up major wages. Think Pardew is doing a fair job at the moment, and has us very close to safety already. Christmas Tree 4725
He'll sign someone if the deal is fits in with the way the club is now run. What they wont do is get blackmailed to sign or loan average players with silly wage demands. I think something will still happen as the window closes, however I would rather we bought nowt than rubbish. The players we have are easily capable of maintaining premiership status. On reflection, a draw was about reet today. Todays and last week's results are the kind you look back on at the towards end of the season and go "this is why we're fucked" the downhill slide starts now tbh, we've had our wee streak. What a load of crap. We've played pretty much the same all season. Played fairly well, lost some we should have won, and won some we didn't expect to win. Had it not being for self inflicted suspensions, then I don't think there is anyone who doesn't think we would already be in the top 6. We now have a nice two and a half (?) week break, the boys are off to sunny Portugal to recuperate and Pardew should have plenty of free time to bash the phones and get some deals done. Carrol should be fit and raring to go and all will be well. Negativity is such a wank.
LeazesMag 0
Ranger always gets it wrong ha ha....Man just standing there for a tap tries to Maradonna it the berk. tbf he did more since coming on than shola did the entire game, he looks better than any striker we have asides from Carroll tbh Agreed, even the commentator on the stream said Ranger did more in 5 minutes than Ameobi had done in 75, can't argue with that. As bad as Rangers miss was did people miss Ameobi's 50yard chip into the keepers hands from the half way line? At least Ranger has pace and quick feet, he's still young enough to work on his finishing and can make a chance out of nowt, something Ameobi, Best and Lovenkrands cant. agreed
Monroe Transfer 0
Agreed that we might regret these lost points come the end of the season. That's my worry - will this come back to haunt us or not? Right now it's not really a problem as such but remember how a couple of points would have kept us up when we got relegated. I personally believe that we won't regret the dropped points, for the record. As for Pardew... if the last 2 matches had ended on 90 minutes he'd actually have an extremely impressive 5 wins out of 7. As a side note, the one thing I've liked most about our league season so far is that in all honesty there's only been about 4-5 matches in which we've been comprehensively outplayed. We've drawn games we should have won ad lost games we should have drawn. There's a good spirit out there and we've rarely looked out of place in the PL. Are you daft? all the above aside, with our small squad, our lack of quality as it is, without a guaranteed cemented replacement coming in, would you let a player who can start at times bugger off on loan? no, no you wouldn't, and if that's the way to "run a club" we are well and truly fucked if barton, caroll and enrique pick up injuries. This is why Ashley is a cunt, Pardew is a dogsbody, edit > i literally can't fathom how you can call yourself a newcastle fan, Well one of us is Irish First of all, go steady on the old bold button. Secondly, you think The owners a cunt, The Managers a dogsbody and the team is poor......How can you call yourself a Newcastle Fan? We've already being without Carrol and Barton and the sky wont fall in if Enrique gets injured. The crappy squad is going into February currently the 7th best team in the premiership. We are 8 points off a champions league spot. But for two late goals we would be 4 points off a champions league spot. You are indeed a fucking moron. If we hadn't lost a game all season we'd be top of the fucking league. I'm agreeing with Ant. The squad is paper thin and we seem to be have absolutely no urgency in expanding it. If it doesn't fit into a frankly ridiculous wages structure, then there's no deal to be had. They're the fucking morons and you're as bad for believing their shite time and time again! However, he can't give NUFC the team befitting their status and potential doing the job with his hands tied. Well yeah...he wont be able to spend the sort of money we were once used to LM but that comes more so from the fact that we were in the Championship last year than FMA's running of the club. Like i said at the time, i think the relegation season was a positive and much needed albeit a black mark in our history. We've come back into the PL without spending alot, a huge gamble on FMA's part but one which looks like, and would be a very very good gamble. Many teams have come up and spent big and went straight back down. We've dodged that bullet and are looking likely to finish top 10 and possibly in a european place with a bit of luck. With the TV money, sponsorship, league placing and other monies received for this season then FMA will in affect of done something fantastic for our clubs finances. I would then EXPECT us to start spending money which befits are status. Once more for the record....i hate FMA for some of the things he's done to our club and i'd sooner he left but underlying all the bullshit...he has done and is doing some good. Also...i think Pardew has the potential to be one of our best managers....cliche i know but given time and backing he could do very well. With Carver alongside him too.
