Christmas Tree 4725
Once the next 8 games are over I think we could not only be safe, but also have overtaken Sunderland with a five point cushion. I have tried to temper my optimistic outlook with a view to potential results. Sunderland Blackpool A 0 Chelsea H 1 Stoke A 1 Spurs H 0 Everton A 1 Arsenal A 0 Liverpool H 1 Man City A 0 Giving them 38 points Newcastle Spurs H 0 Fulham A 3 Arsenal H 0 Blackburn A 1 Birmingham A 3 Bolton H 3 Everton H 3 Stoke A 1 Giving us 43 Points Its fair to say that following these 8 games, their run in looks easier than ours so it could be a photo finish for Top North East Team. JamesD 0
We're more likely to beat those 8 teams and then get beat of the 8 after that (Stoke, Blackburn, Bolton etc.). We do things the hard way every time without fail.

JamesD 0
I'll have a prediction anyway... Sunderland Blackpool A 1 Chelsea H 3 Stoke A 1 Spurs H 0 Everton A 0 Arsenal A 1 Liverpool H 3 Man City A 0 9 points. Newcastle Spurs H 0 Fulham A 1 Arsenal H 0 Blackburn A 3 Birmingham A 0 Bolton H 1 Everton H 3 Stoke A 1 9 points. Wouldn't surprise me to see it like that. The only big ground they've won at in the last 5 or 6 years is the Emirates, they're shit scared here, at Analfied, at OT, at the Bridge, but here is a real gypsy curse ground for them. They always look like rabbits in the headlights, can't believe a so called toon fan would say we'll get no points at home to them. They're not that good and like I say, with 50000 behind us they hold no fears for me. I've always held the opinion we should win all our home games regardless who we play, and this Saturday will be no different. I'll bet you 50 quid now we get a result. Get hold of Bale and we'll be fine.

In fact I'll give you my card for the Wolves game if we don't win free of charge, rather than asking any cunt else if they want it, no questions asked, if am right some cunt else gets it. Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club
We'll see who's right. If I didn't think we were going to win every game I go to I wouldn't go. We've beaten better sides than them this season, their centre halfs are there to be got at especially Dawson, we'll get a result and I'll be quoting this thread on Sunday morning. Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club
Top North East team Sunderland have come in the top 10 twice in 50 year. TWICE. We've proven over two games we are superior to them and I believe at the end of the season the table will tell no lies.

We can't have managed that in the top flight for half a decade! Spurs are better than us but I think we can do them if we want it more. Give them some stick and put Bale in the stand with his first run. Like you say, it's SJP-no point in throwing in the towel with these bastards it's all to play for. Guest You FCB Get Out Of Our Club
I think Redknapp is having a very subtle PR campaign to convince people they're amazing. They're far from amazing. They were totally shit first half against us down there. See Redknapp telling everyone they're title contenders, when they're blatantly not. They don't have enough grit about them regardless of their technical players. Redknapp's crack over the last seven days "I wuttun syy we wuz better than United just yet." So what are you saying you're just as good as them? Fucking egotistical tosser of a man. People go on about their win over Inter Milan, Inter were in their worst run in 8 years losing to sides like fuckin Lecce never mind Tottenham, and they still managed to go in 4-0 down at HT against them in the away game. Monroe Transfer 0
Not bothered about where we finish in relation to Sunderland, it's all about survival for me. This thread is petty and something we ridicule them for doing. A thread concerning the mathematics and predictions to doing with us staying up however is something I'd take a keen interest in. OTF 7295
We need to play our own game against Spurs if we want something from the game. The way we played against them at their place was pathetic. It was a Stoke/Hull'esque tactic of trying to spoil their game instead of trying to play ours. Having Andy Carroll back will be very important against their defense who aren't that good and don't get much help from their attack minded midfield. We only need 10 points to stay up, might not even need that many. Relegation is no longer on the agenda. I think we'd all take 50 points, if I'm right we'll be 45 from 30 played.
