Pardew hints at change in Transfer thoughts

Basically it all means nowt anyway. The club (Ashley) and it's servants (Pardew) will lie because it doesnt matter if they do. That standard was set a while back. Sometimes they'll even do it when theres no need to, it seems almost pathological tbh. They could come out with this and then sign a couple of players if they became available. Equally they could say they will or ideally would and then do absolutely nowt about it. If it happens it happens and if it doesnt it doesnt but I won't be listening to the club or Pardew for any reliable forecasts one way or another.

David Jones says that Cardiff said "NO" to a premiership club re Boothroyd. Perhaps explains the "give up" on a forward statement.

Looks like we have had a few near miss's over the first two weeks which indicates there is some money there for the right deal (s). Could bode well for some late end of window deals.

It sounds like he's just bigging up the strikers as managers do and the fact that getting anyone decent in this window seems very tough.

Much happier with a couple of decent loans til the summer.

While the squad is not great, its good enough to get us through to April and secure premiership status.

Are you conceding?

;) Tut Tut Parky.

Receding yes, conceding never.

he wasn't talking about your hairline :icon_lol:

'Some' being a small amount and 'right' being out of contract in the summer.

Best worked hard yesterday, I thought and I'd forgive him a bit of rustyness. Same goes for Gosling.

Best was knackered coming off the pitch. The 2 big men tactic pressing defenders isn't pretty, but it's been very effective for us.

I'm sensing a backtrack. ;)

Whilst I have little confidence in Best and Shola. I have even less in Smith's ability to cover Tiote.

Nolan can play off Carrol quite well, so he is another option.

I think the key is to only bring in someone who improves the squad. Boothroyd is no better than Best or Shola and if we do get a budget forward we wont buy a seventh in the summer.

“He’s a good player, he’s a handful, you’d like to have him in your team. But we are nowhere near getting Carroll.”

Wheeler-dealing wanker. Up to his usual shite trying to unsettle players giving choice quotes to his pals. I hope a better team nick Bale off him. Prick.

We've spoken about it here before, he has his pals in the media ask him about players he's interested in and stirs the shit spouting he's a "'triffic playa..." then says he'd be interested should the player become available. He's an arse-faced tosser, IMO.

Aye, I think the Spurs fans are aware of this tactic as well. He does all his transfers publicly.

Sounds like Pardew has come to realise how Ashley plans to operate in the transfer market.

CT, don't know why you bother posting your 'opinion' as we all know it will change in a very short period of time, based on a win, a loss, or a statement or action taken by the club.
